Although we booked a premium room it was quite dark with a view over a concrete roof and other windows of the hotel. Having said that it’s a city centre building and it was at least quiet.

It would be great if the personnel told us of the city tax situation during check-in, was rather unpleasant hearing about it for the first time during check-out (first time Switzerland goers might benefit from this info). The gym is quite small but supposedly sufficient.

a weird stench in the common areas the staff brushed off as "radisson smell" hotel parking was full. iwas sent to another one, to which the hotel did not provide any exit tickets. completely empty minifridge each light had to be turned off manually on the lamp (no wall switches)

Housekeeping missed cleaning our room twice and we went those days with no replenishment or tidy. I’m also certain house keeping kept my shampoo, which I came back to claim but no one could locate . I stay in hotels often and the few times I’ve left something , I can come back and the item is in lost of found. While I take responsibility for leaving an item behind , it’s dishonest to keep something that isn’t yours.

I was disappointed no milk in the room to make a coffee and also the amount of money I paid for 1 night I think 30Francs is dear to pay for parking.

The cleanliness in the room could have been better considering the cost of a junior suite we paid for. Coffee splash on floor in living area, tissues in bathroom were empty, overall cleanliness could have been better.

For a "chain" hotel this absolutely met all my expectations. Hey the room may not have been as quaint or as well decorated as other smaller hotels, but it was large, functional and as pictured. The breakfast was excellent and staff very helpful. Location is great - right next to a tram line down or walking distance to lots of attractions.

Double rooms have two separate mattresses, and the thing they bring to merge them creates a bump, which makes things even worse..

The stuff is very friendly and helpful. Rooms are clean and have all you need. We had a wonderful quiet room facing the courtyard, so no view, but waking up to singing birds was so nice :) Breakfast is amazing, fantastic location. Really recommended!

The toilets in some of the rooms are (almost) open plan. I had not stayed I such rooms before and it was a bit of a shock. If privacy is important to you, please ask for a different room.

The breakfast was great, the location is excellent, the Zoo is nearby and so is the art museum. We love the hotel and come back to it when we need to stay in Basel.

The room was really hot, even with the air on cold it was hard to sleep with the heat in the room. We visited in March and it wasn’t even that hot outside. Not sure if it was because we were on the top floor or that the hotel is always really hot.

Toilet was blocked on our arrival. Offered a repair the next morning (not an appropriate solution) or a room change. Went to reception to change keys, was offered no apology for the inconvenience and kept waiting for 10 minutes whilst the receptionist stared at his computer and helped his colleague with other guests. Felt this was a poor level of service and said I wasn’t happy, asked for an upgrade given the circumstances which was given gracelessly. Bathroom door in new room didn’t close properly and was right next to the bed - not very romantic for a couple’s weekend away! Generally felt the hotel needed to pay more attention to detail, it felt generally impersonal.

Walking distance to the train station, old town and zoo. Good selection for breakfast. Comfortable bed. Pool a good size and interesting if you like 70’s architecture. Enrico in the fitness area was friendly.

The room is a bit dark for me. The room that we stayed, the bathroom had a broken door but we reported it. There are few option in the breakfast buffet but I believe if you have preference you can order it ahead.

The location, the ambiance, the staff, the inclusion of the use of the facilities including the swimming pool of the hotel, and mostly the employees working at the hotel. They are all smiling and very welcoming with their guests.
