I liked this hotel more than my 5 star hotels in Beijing and Shanghai. I was here only for one night but it was very memorable because of the super helpful and friendly staff, the very unique style, and the ideal location. The hotel helped me organize my Li River cruise and airport pickup ahead of time. I arrived in the evening but I instantly went out for a walk along the beautiful lake which is literally right in front of the hotel! Highly recommend!

The bathroom was a bit dated and the temperature of the water oscillated between hot and cold. We booked a two bedroom suite but it seems that it’s actually just one bedroom and the second bed is outside. The bathroom is inside the bedroom so if you’re on the outside bed, you will need to walk through the bedroom each time to use the bathroom, which is not ideal.

The staff were genuinely nice and helpful! They helped us book pretty much everything and gave recommendations on where to eat, places to avoid, etc. Even the cafeteria staff were super welcoming and kind. The staff there are better than most five-star hotels! The hot ginger tea upon arrival is also a nice touch since it was very cold outside. The hotel is right next to a lake and the views from the windows is incredible! Rooms are spacious and well decorated with antiques. You can also book an on site massage.

We had a great stay at Aroma Tea House. The room was spacious, beautifully decorated. I especially liked the tea nook with a view on the river. The breakfast was great, also with a great view! The staff was really helpful in helping us arrange transfers. Note that the price for additional services (transfers, activities, etc) is higher than self-organised but everything was well arranged.

The water in the shower was either cold or too hot

Jhuge and Rose were extremely helpful, very kind & friendly. The location of the hotel is great - right next to the lake, and the room was very clean & provided a warm respite from the cold weather outside. The hotel has a great ambience as a tea museum. Bed & pillows were comfortable. The hotel Also appreciate that they let us check out late knowing we had checked in very late at night.

Super convenient location in the heart of Guilin. Great hotel breakfast with a beautiful view from the dining room. Tea rooms within the rooms were a nice touch and the hotel itself was beautifully designed. Helpful and communicative staff.

I've been in 5 hotels in China and this is absolutely the best one. Staff is very polite and helpful, they took care of every need we had (booking trips or taxi for example), and they speak English perfectly, that is not so common even in hotels. The structure is beautiful, in traditional style but also with modern commodities, and the room was very big, nice and clean, with view on the river. I totally raccomend this hotel!

Fabulous staff; location perfect - right on thr walking path around 4 lakes and 2 rivers area. Breakfast dining area on top floor has amazing views and fresh made noodles for breakfast was a treat!

Best place we stayed during our China trip. No problems with communication! Very service-oriented. Location - absolutely great - near the lake, but in very silent part of it. Views from windows (in room and dining facilities) are magic and attractive. Very appropriate vibes from vacation!

Location is excellent. Design of hotel and room is beyond charming. Service is friendly and helpful. When we didn't have time for breakfast (which was included with stay), they put it in a to-go box early in the morning for our pickup.

We booked the family two bedroom suite for a group of 4 of us and whilst there were 2 separate bedrooms, the bathroom was attached as an en-suite to one of the bedrooms which was not very convenient as it meant entering someone else’s bedroom to use it. The room was also very cold in winter due to two large windows (beautiful views but freezing!). Would definitely stay at Aroma Tea House again but we would book 2 separate rooms instead of the two bedroom suite.

The staff were amazing. They helped organise all of our transportation and excursions in advance and explained everything to do in the area whilst welcoming us with some delicious ginger tea which was really appreciated. The hotel was really tastefully decorated.
