Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.

Property located close to metro line 3 which connects the airport. Nearby many local restaurants and family marts available. Easily canton fair can be connected. Was given a welcome drink. Front desk was very helpful. Spacious and very neat room.

Air conditioning steady room temperature. Fluctuations of temperature setting at 26degree and control temperature Fluctuations from 21 to 26 degrees.

Not what I didn't like, but directions to the hotel could be easier for those arriving by metro. If arriving by Metro on Line 3, use exit B. You now have a very busy road in front of you. Turn left into a small but busy street. Walk 100m down the street passing a small school. The Hotel entrance is immediately after the school.
Friendly Staff, good location, clean, comfortable.

Breakfast can be better .
Room is huge , clean and comfortable. Location is quiet in Hai Zhu , you can easily move around with DiDi. Hotel breakfast is basic , staff is friendly. Overall experience is good .

Even though we stayed on a non-smoking floor, there is still a cigarette smell that lingers in the hall and elevator.
The breakfast was wonderful. It had a noodle cooking robot to make noodle soup for you.

It is smaller than most hotel spaces and can be tough to get a seat during the buffet breakfast in the morning (especially when the Canton Fair is running) but if you plan well, it shouldn’t be an issue.
We stayed here for close to a month for the Canton Fair and we were really pleased with the property. It’s conveniently located - right across from a shopping mall, 100m or so from a train station, not too far from the Canton Tower & heaps of food stalls nearby (and thankfully a pharmacy) right at your door stop. If you’re like us and love your food delivery, we had the little robots delivering it right to our doorstep (daily). The hotel had shuttle buses in the morning to take you the Canton Fair. The staff are lovely and accomodating; if you need anything they’ll help as best as they can. The Housekeeping Team were amazing; despite the language barrier our level Housekeeper quickly became one of our favourite people!! The amenities were great; laundry room & afternoon tea were a great addition.

The reception area needs to be more tidy. A proper luggage room Proper stores for the deliveries which is thrown back of the reception. The rest everything was perfect.
Everything was perfect Despite being a 4 star hotel. All the amenities were excellent from linen to pillows.

Western breakfast was slightly limited
comfortable hotel in a gteat location 100m from the connection of 2 metro lines. Some of the staff on reception speak ok English but all try to help. A special shout out to Kiki

I had a great stay at this hotel! The location is excellent — everything was nearby, like shops, restaurants, and it was also very close to Canton Tower. The breakfast was delicious and fresh every morning. The rooms were super clean and cleaned daily, which I really appreciated. Cleanliness overall was top-notch. The staff were very friendly and welcoming. Everything was just perfect, I really enjoyed my stay and would definitely come back!

Attention to details is remarkable. Friendly and helpful staff, good choice of breakfast, coffee, tea in the lobby. Bus to and from Canton fair was super helpful. Good location, super close to the subway, near a shopping mall. Canton tower could be walked to in 15-20 mins, or ride only 1 subway station

During the Canton Fair, it would have been nice to see a little more variety in the Western breakfast options. Nevertheless, the quality was very good.
Arthur Hotel Canton Tower was a great place to stay during the Canton Fair. The rooms were clean, modern, and comfortable. The staff was friendly and helpful, and the free shuttle service to the fair was very convenient. The breakfast was very good, with fresh and tasty options to start the day.

We arrived way before our check-in time at about 08.30am, they gave us free breakfast so we could spend some time there and had the room ready for us at 10am already instead of the 2pm check-in time!
