Right in the heart of the city and local culture, Botanico hostel is a perfect stay for travelers! The hostel has a garden-like feel with amazing rooftop views of Bogota, and even offers morning Yoga that blends perfectly with the pristine mountains alongside the city. Great social atmosphere for backpackers looking to mingle and have a good time as well as the option for privacy and relaxation.

The top bunk was too high. And it was so dangerous to climb on to. Nearly slipped a couple of times. Would be worth adding a handle on the side of the bunk for more support.

Surrounding area can be a bit noisy on the weekends, but that’s expected in La Candelaria.

Great location within walking distance of the main plaza and museums. Great rooftop views. Chill hostel vibe. Bed is comfortable and room is spacious.

The Curtains in my room were see-through so I had no privacy until I hung a blanket up over at the window that looked over the outdoor entrance corridor. There was another room directly across from me. I paid For a room with a courtyard but the courtyard was basically unusable.

The entire space was very cool and had lots of areas to hang out. The views from the rooftop terrace were really nice, and I enjoyed the yoga up there one morning! Private room was nice and big and clean, had everything we needed. The staff was also helpful in arranging a taxi for us from the airport.

No lock / padlock for our private room. However it was at the back of the courtyard inside the premises so felt safe without a lock.

Stayed for one night before an early flight. Would have liked to stay longer. Seemed like a sociable place with a slightly older crowd. Helpful staff, especially if you need an early morning taxi. Arrived at 8am, couldn’t check in but could use the communal showers / nap on the sofa beds in the lobby.

The kitchen was too small for the number of people cooking in the evening particularly. Sometimes the music during the day was a bit bothering, but nothing major!

The hostel is beautiful, there's a lot of greenery and you can spot humming birds from time to time. Great terrasse, great couches to chill and a lovely bar! Staff is mostly very nice, and they are open 24h. I didn't have the breakfast but it looked amazing, and the cooks working there are so nice!

There was some noise in the communal area after 12 am which was hearable from the dorm.

Perfectly located in the heart of the historical neighborhood of Calendaria, the hostel is a perfect spot for socialising. I loved the common area with the sofas where to chill, the outdoor garden and especially the terrace from which can enjoy a beautiful sunset. Breakfast (not included, COP 15000) was yummy and so was the "family dinner" they organise on Fridays which in my case was the typical regional dish of aijaco.

The only issue I had was with the front door (I had a private room) being really stiff to open/close and lock, but this can easily be rectified so it was not a big deal.

A great property with lovely gardens, situated in the Candelaria area of Bogotá. Friendly and accommodating staff. Lots of areas in the property you can chill out by yourself or socialise with others. Close to some nice places to see/eat/drink. If so am ever back in Bogotá I would definitely stay here again.

The only thing that would make it better would be to offer some separate showers that don't have toilets in them, so you don't have to experience any unpleasant smells while taking a shower. But this isn't really that important of a detail.

This was such a cool and beautiful hostel. The people we met there were and amazing, both the other guests and the staff. Loved the yoga class!

when I first booked, staff gave me the wrong WhatsApp number to arrange a taxi from the airport, so i just sent out all my personal details to some random stranger, and i didn't find this out until the day before my trip. thankfully I was able to get the taxi arranged, but it was not handled well. the staff didn't really show me around or tell me much when I arrived. many of the hostel's activities either didn't happen or were at a different time than what I was originally told. the yoga mats are disgusting, if you're going to offer yoga classes then the mats shouldn't be filthy. there was a bedbug issue and, while I'm satisfied with the thorough cleaning job done by the housekeepers, the staff did not communicate with us about this issue at all. we all just learned about it through word of mouth.

very social hostel, easy to make friends, comfy beds and blankets, rooftop (it's smaller than expected but still nice), breakfast every morning was convenient, it's a perfect location for exploring, and a decent price

The Botanico hostel is the perfect spot to chill in Bogota. The people working there are super sound- Jorge in particular really helped me a lot with everything I needed and more. He is a legend!! There are activities also every day such as yoga, dance and dinners, which is a nice way to meet other people. Really nice hostel, I ended up coming back here and would recommend it 100%.

Loved the garden, city view and atmosphere! The upstairs area was perfect for breakfast and coffee. Very peaceful and calm in the morning. Colombian coffee is offered all day long! The staff is very friendly and helpful! Gracias Laura, Daniel & Jorge! At nighttime, there is a great communal vibe. Cute, intimate bar & cozy firepits. I had to checkout and move to another hostel because Botanico was full. My new hostel was disappointing compared to Botanico.
