Hotel was in a great location, close to restaurants, shops and beaches but out of the busy road which was great. The staff were lovely and made us feel welcome. I would definitely stay here again upon my return to Tamarindo.

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Hotel Elixir. The hotel is beautiful, modern, clean and in the perfect location to walk to everything. The owner greeted us on the first day, provided a great overview of Tamarindo along with suggestions for activities and best restaurants AND prepared breakfast for the guests! We will definitely book future stays here as well. Thank you so much for such a great experience!

Everything was amazing! The only suggestion I’d have is to place mats at the entrance to the rooms. We visited during rainy season and it so helped that there was a place to clean your feat as you entered the property. It would be nice to have a little mat to dry/wipe them before entering the room.

Super friendly staff, including the guard dog, Gem. And by guard dog I mean cute little Dachshund :) Loved the location, right by some amazing “hidden” restaurants. Off the main road so there’s little to no road noise. Walkable to everything. Breakfast was delicious and filling. Rooms were very clean and had all we needed.

Host is lovely, there every day to provide any advice you need and also a very pleasant breakfast. We loved the avocado toast and yoghurt bowl! Our room was cleaned every day. the property is also very secure with a security guard there every night.

The GPS takes you through an alleyway which was difficult even for my 4x4. The other side of the alleyway was fine. They have 3 parking spots inside the facility but are super tight. They do have open parking infront of the hotel but that's pretty steep and you got to be careful. The bed was squeaky. Pillows were not comfortable. The room was small for the money we paid and compared to other places

Location. It's close to everything. Walking distance to bunch of restaurants, shops and playa tamrindo. The host was good and always cheerful.

We booked this place based on the positive reviews, but were very disappointed—mainly due to poor cleanliness, especially in the room. When we checked in, we found around 60 flying ants in the shower. It was hard to believe housekeeping hadn’t cleaned this before our arrival. We had to spray and clean it ourselves. The next day, we told the host, who said she was already aware of the issue, and promised to notify housekeeping. But after cleaning, the dead ants were still left all over the shower and bathroom, completely untouched. This was extremely unpleasant and disrespectful. Other issues included: • A strong, bad smell in the room • Stained, unclean pillows • No replacement of basic toiletries(soap, shampoo etc), which we had to request ourselves at night Although the host was friendly, she didn’t follow through, and the lack of cleanliness ruined our stay. For the high price we paid, this felt more like a hostel than a hotel. We do not recommend staying here.

The room on the ground floor was small, when you opened the sliding door (no other windows) you had to be careful no one was walking past to breakfast or to their car! Or to the pool, Also the apartment directly across. No privacy unless curtains were closed. The pool area felt un inviting, being surrounded by gravel and parking spaces

It was in a good location, just 5 minutes walk from everything. Elisa was very welcoming and helpful, even arranging transport for us from San Jose.

The bathroom could have been a bit cleaner - there was some old dust and things behind the bathroom door.

Loved that it was so small, and run by the owners. The pool was small, but a nice feature none the less. And we enjoyed the made to order breakfast quite a lot. Yogurt with granola was a great option, and avocado toast as well. It was a bit away from the center - perfect short walk that also made it more quiet than the ones directly on the beach street. Big room with balcony and mini fridge - this was very nice!

My room was directly beside the front desk and located right at the front door and I literally stepped outside of my room into the dining area. It was definitely not worth the money I paid. It was very loud with little to no sound barrier from all the external noise from staff and guests starting very early in the morning. You could hear everything in this hotel.

The location is behind the main strip so it was quiet. A little dark to walk at night.

The room was claustrophobic with modern minimalist furnishings. The couch, bed and pillows were hard and uncomfortable. No coffee maker in the room.

It was a nice clean hotel, in close proximity to all restaurants and town activities. The breakfast was very good and staff was nice.

The rooms were a little on the small side but ample for what we needed.

Small and private establishment nestled in the hustle and bustle of Tamarindo. The unit was clean and the washroom was modern. Each unit has a private patio space. The location was walking distance to everything. Every staff member was helpful and friendly. There were a variety of breakfast options which we really enjoyed.

They served a nice breakfast, but I would have welcomed a coffee bar, and possibly a small selection of snacks and drinks to buy.

Hotel Elixir is a simple and small, but impeccably clean hotel in a quiet part of Tamarindo Beach. The hotel is within 5 min walking distance of the beach and all the restaurants, shops and bars of the beach town. The owner and the staff were exceptionally friendly and helpful. I felt very welcome and safe staying there as a solo traveling woman.

There is a very strong smell of mold in the room, and the smell of the towels is also bad…
