Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

South Koreathe reception only opens at 10am, so early check-in isn’t possible which can be inconvenient for travelers arriving early.
The hostel offers an acceptable price for what you get. The location is very good 😌 close to transport, shops, and main attractions. The place is clean and generally well-kept.

United KingdomI'm sure its been said many times but its located on the red light district and shares an entrance with a "Sauna Club" so if you arrive at night you may feel slightly uneasy. Also no common area to hang out and meet people
Location was prime. Quick and easy access to all the major attractions

BrazilThe place is quite old. The elevator doesn't work, so you have to carry your luggage up the stairs. The floor in the rooms creaks. And the lockers are made of metal and old too, which means that no matter how careful you or your roommates try to be, you will make noise while moving around the room. The pillow is not flat; it feels like a bunch of random-sized sponges put together. It was quite hard to find a good position with it. There is only one bathroom in the room, with both the toilet and the shower, so if one person is using it, you have to wait, regardless of what they are doing. There are no other options outside of the room. So, in the morning, you have to wait for your turn, which can delay your plans for the day.
The room and the bathroom were clean. Plus, they cleaned it every day. It is right at the heart of Prague, close to the museum, metro, restaurants, shops, and within walking distance of many attractions. While the instructions may seem a little bit confusing, finding the hostel was quite easy. Yes, it is behind an adult club; yes, the first floor is for hourly rooms only; yes, there are other nightclubs and barkers around, but it didn't feel unsafe, nor was it too noisy, and as long as you ignore them, they will ignore you. The staff was welcoming and helpful, and even if you go to the front desk outside their office hours, there is a buzzer button there, and someone will come to help you. Also, they have free lockers to leave our luggage after check-out. Overall, it is a great place to stay for the price you pay.

United KingdomOnly two minuses I had is that in some rooms the WiFi doesn’t seem to work (which wasn’t a big deal for me as I have a generous roaming allowance), and that the drainage in the shower could be better. Other than that no problems at all.
Great central location right in between Muzeum and Můstek metro stations. Few local pubs nearby, if not counting the touristy locations. Hostel is right above an adult club but is safe and not bad location. Fresh towels and lockers provided to each guest. Good place for first time travelers.

PolandAlthough my experience was slightly marred by a smelly neighbor, it was not the hostel's fault.
I would like to mention the friendly staff and their efforts to make our stay comfortable. Thank you for the towels, it's nice to have them provided. I also want to highlight the excellent ventilation (you can open the windows in your room). Be prepared for the stairs, as the elevator seemed to be malfunctioning.

United StatesI personally liked my room but my friend got a room that was super loud and could hear all of the noise from the sauna club below. There is a sauna club shared enternece and an hourly bed room below the hostel. These things didn’t bug me but might bug someone else. I liked that keys for lockers were offered.

Spain- The entrance for the hostel is through a “sauna club”. - One morning i got woken up by the staff standing in front of my bed asking whether the bathroom is free for the room service to take care. Service was good but i prefer not to get talked to while sleeping.
- Check-in and -out where very uncomplicated

United KingdomThe noise during the night is scary. There's a night club right next to it. People talking and shouting all night till early in yhe morning from the street. Advise to bring your ear plugs if you want to have a proper night of sleep as I did :).

MalaysiaThe chair in the common area/ kitchen was a bit loose. The room could be quite loud at night (if the window is opened), due to its location, but overall, it was a pleasant stay.
The location is great, walking distance to the city's attractions. The staffs were very helpful and quick in changing the dysfunctional shower heads, locker locks and providing iron (upon request). The wifi worked, and so did the other facilities listed. The room was quite spacious for a 6-people dormitory, which was a plus point for me :))

SerbiaI didn't like that the upper bed was very low compared to the upper bed, you can't sit up nice and normally, you have to be bent over, there's no table or chair in the room, the elevator doesn't work, when you arrive dead tired it's very difficult to climb the stairs to the third floor.
The location of the hostel itself is in an excellent position, the accommodation is pleasant and clean, the bed is comfortable

United KingdomGreat value for money, cheap and comfy. In a good location, easy to walk everywhere from. It is above a nightclub but wasn’t noisy with the windows closed. Good sized lockers with codes were provided, each room has an ensuite style bathroom, so shared between six in my case. Just a lucky dip who you share with as always in shared accommodation!

MauritiusAbsence of furniture in my room meant nowhere to sit to take out/wear my shoes, as I was in an upper bed. Internet was unstable. Instead of 3 poor connexions, would prefer a single, reliable one. Someone had even to change room for better signal. This was a last minute booking. Other properties were full at these dates. This one has its strengths but considering the competition in Prague, a better note would be unfair for them.
The staff, starting with Azyl, rates higher. Location is perfect, near the Venceslas Square. The check-in starts early, at 1 pm. I slept well in this calm place.

United KingdomWifi only worked bin top bunk when holding phone at full reach. Had to guess passwords for wifi on floor above as would not connect to our floor. Curtains that were once around beds since removed. Able to click on towels to the rail for privacy but it was an arduous process. No communal area to sit around in/feel comfortable in. Was either sit in your bunk or hit the streets. Lift inoperable with many stairs.
Room was comfortable. Nice bathroom shared between 6 others in room. 2x kitchen areas for each floor. Free lockers in room with plenty of storage. Lights and phone/key storage attached to bunk bed. Swift, attentive staff.

United StatesThe kitchen for some weird reason didn't have any outlets, so you couldn't really hang there, making it a very unsocial hostel. Additionally, the walkup is weird (you enter via some sort of adult club) but the hawkers never bothered me on my way in
The hostel is located nicely close to the main square of Prague. The rooms were clean and spacious, the beds were comfy, and there was some foyer separation between room and bathroom which was a nice buffer zone. The beds also have this cool side railing which makes it easy to hang up your clothes
