Staff, other than manager/owner (do not know) have a attitude like we are serving them. We pay the bills not them. I saw many encounters with them but mine was the wash. They told me 24 hours, at 36 hours they were dumped, I got my cloths with socks very wet. They had them in the dirty cloths bag I gave them. My wet socks were in the bottom of a dirty cloths basket. They said this is not a problem. They took the socks and they sat on the counter in the wet bag for another 4 hours. When I questioned them, they promised to dry by today. The socks are just as wet as out of washer after 2 1/2 days and I was leaving. To me this is purposeful, spiteful and not normal. If you are going to service the western world please get new workers and get rid of the women in particular. She will kill your business.

I liked the nice kitchen although had to alwaysborrow from other kitchen on another floor (no plates/bowls etc.).The interior of hostel new, comfy beds, and good breakfast.

Bunks three high, ladder isn't attached to anything and easily moves, some mosquitoes in the dorm, often no toilet paper, long wait for breakfast

The location was great.. A pefect place to explore the city.. The facilities are good.. The room was clean and neat for the price Staff were helpful and nice Bathroom was very clean.. It was nice to have a nice hot shower after a long day in the streets of cairo

The building is old and dilapidated (no working elevator), but that is basically every place I stayed in Egypt. Smoking… but again, every place in Egypt.

Probably one of the nicer hostels I’ve stayed at. The shared dorm room beds each have a privacy curtain, a cabinet, and a power outlet. The bathrooms are spacious and clean. I enjoyed the breakfast and the location is really good. An amazing hostel for the money.

Not enough toilet paper twice. Extended, but it wasnt properly noted so another guy slept in my bed when I came to the hostel. Had to use another bed that didn't have a blanket. The ladders should be secured so that they can't move, otherwise an accident is only a matter of time. Breakfast starts at 9, which is a bit late if you want to avoid the crowds at the pyramids and not skip breakfast. Apart from those minor things it was a great stay.

Great bathrooms like in a hotel, nice and comfy bed. Friendly. Great breakfast.

The only negative thing was the breakfast, served bet 9 and 11. Too late if you want to leave early to see the city. When I went at 9 nobody was there, except for one guy. Waited 5 minutes for the girl who prepare. Bf and I finish at 9.30. It was my last day so I had already visited most places. Otherwise I hat to skipped it. If I come back to Cairo I will go again to this place.

Before moving to TTM for one night I was in a hotel, a little more expensive but having a room for myself. I dixn, t want to share but I wanted to try the KTM because of the good reviews and price. It did, t dissapoint me. The check in took 3 minutes and the room was quite big with lockers and curtains for privacy.. In front were 4 bathrooms, quite new and clean.. The location is about 10 blocks from Tahir Sq. And 2 blocks from metro st. The guy at recepción was friendly and helpful.

My room was quiet, but without a sun, unfortunately. The window is going on the inner side of the building, where's almost no sun. So if you gonna stay in the hostel for a day time, you're gonna use lights.

Stuff is very friendly and helpful. WiFi is working almost all the time. AC, tv, a small fridge in the room, big comfy bed with towel and private bathroom with towel and soaps. Breakfast is traditional Egyptian, could be a bit more variety. Anyway, I recommend this hostel.

I wish there was an indoor lounge with no smoking allowed. Or that there was an outdoor space. Front desk staff seems hit or miss.

I chose KMT Hostel since I needed a cheap place to sleep for one night in Cairo. It's well located - I walked there from the bus station. There are restaurants nearby and the metro is close. My bunk bed was comfortable and roomy, though I suspect the room gets crowded when all the beds are taken. The bunk has a personal plug, light and a shelf. Bathroom was clean with good showers. I left early, so didn't try the breakfast. The hotel owner was my taxi driver to the airport, very easy.

We didnt get enough bread for breakfast, and couldnt get more when we asked.

It was very clean, well organized. Internet was working well (not normal in Egypt).

My room was right next to reception so I could here all the comings and goings... I don't mind as I can sleep through everything but people in the reception would have likely heard me talking in my sleep 🤣
