Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

UruguayNothing as such, I was very impressed.
This hotel offers excellent value for money in the Pyramids area. The staff's hospitality exceeded our expectations. They were always eager to assist us and find solutions to any questions we had. We felt extremely welcomed throughout our stay.

United KingdomIt is right outside a major road with no soundproofing. Cairo drivers are fond of using their horns. I saw another review that mentioned this so I brought some in ear silicone ear plugs. Without ear plugs, you will not be able to sleep.
The property is very close to the pyramids, if that is your reason for visiting Cairo. The staff were friendly and helpful. The place was clean. It’s good value for money.

Magical stay at Pyramids Palace Inn! We had a beautiful, spacious suite with a breathtaking view of the pyramids right from our room. Waking up to that view was unforgettable. The suite was very comfortable, spotless, and even had a jacuzzi—perfect for relaxing after a long day of exploring. The rooftop is also amazing for enjoying breakfast or watching the sunset over the pyramids. The staff was kind, helpful, and always available. Great location and excellent value for such a unique experience. Highly recommended—we’ll definitely be back!

United KingdomPyramids palace inn We stayed here for 4 nights, when you first arrive, as a Westerner the surrounding areas may look scary or be really busy. The noise from the streets can be a little bit loud. However it is an amazing hotel. Staff are all very kind and helpful. Mostafa, the manager, is amazing. He really looked after us. What ever we asked for they provided it. Even booking a last minute tour when our attempt to order an Uber didn’t pan out well. If you book guides through the hotel like we did these are all also amazing. We had a different guide each day and had a different experience with each one but enjoyed them all thoroughly. The drivers are also very good, and helpful. We enjoyed the breakfast and it is awesome to have a breakfast while being able to see the pyramids. If you choose this hotel just remember that if you are unsure or require anything- all you have to do is ask the staff. We really loved Egypt, Cairo and Giza and the Pyramids Palace Inn made this experience better. We would definitely recommend and come again.

SlovakiaFrom other reviews, I expected a standard hotel. However, this is a guesthouse located on the fifth floor of a building in a not-so-nice area. The staff is friendly, and if you expect the description above, you will be happy. Just do not expect anything luxurious. The jacuzzi in the corner felt more like a joke than something you’d actually want to use. The view from the rooftop is amazing. What I found confusing is that my previous 10-point review was published under my name without me writing it. This makes me doubt the authenticity of other reviews.

GreeceThey are trying their best, I believe it is the most decent small hotel of the area (from what I saw from other hotels).. But the standards are way below what we expect in Europe. The area although was so close to the Pyramids was very under-developed and a bit dangerous in the night. The breakfast although they were trying to bring us something to please us, was poor. The terrace where breakfast was served should have been in a better condition.
The stuff was amazing and they did everything they could to make easier our stat. The room was good and with no signs of obvious dirt but not in the EU standards. The view from the window was really amazing and the room was spacious

CanadaThe only thing I didn’t like is that the hot tub’s tap didn’t always have hot water, as it ran out quickly. Otherwise everything else was as expected.
The rooms were excellent and looked exactly as shown in the pictures. It’s well cleaned and organized, and the windows view is amazing as you always view the three pyramids plus two minor pyramids. The hot tub is well located next to the window, and the room service was top notch and the lady who was helping us was very nice.

CanadaThe location is near a high traffic area so come with ear plugs.
It was as pictured and the room was spacious and the bed was comfortable. The staff were helpful. The hotel has daily tours to different historical sites which can be helpful for tourists. Breakfast is really good. They have good dinner options so you don’t have to leave the hotel.

United KingdomThe only issue was the noise from the main road. It was all night. The city does not sleep. And I didn’t sleep all night.
Everything was amazing. The hospitality of the staff to the cleanness of the room. It was our anniversary and the lady went beyond to make sure the room was decorated. The room top breakfast with view of the pyramids was just breathtaking and to open my curtains in my room to see the pyramids. Everything was amazing. But I gave it one less star due to the noise from cars outside.

United KingdomThe hotel is beside a busy road so it can be loud and noise.
View to the Pyramids from the room and roof top is amazing. The hotel is in a very good location to the pyramids, the Grand Museum and Sphinx Airport. They organise private tours with a guide, taxi pick up and drop off.

AustraliaThe photos (and price) gave the impression it was a much smarter place than it was. It is on the 5th floor of a block, the lift has no door, there are no facilities other than the rooms and the (pleasant but basic) roof terrace. Somehow we paid three times what it was worth, feel badly let down by booking.com reviews and its inexplicable 5 star rating, should be 2.
Location was ten minutes walk to Pyramids and could see them from the room. Staff nice and friendly.
