How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)

To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Our visit was in a transition time of winter to spring, in March. The radiator in my room became slightly aired at one point (a faint warmth), but was mainly apparently not on. After stepping out of the shower and actually shivering, I mentioned the temperature to Reception. Apparently, the hotel thermostat for all radiators is set according as the outside temperature, therefore there was nothing they could do about individual heating of rooms. They did offer extra blankets for the bed, which was a considerate touch. The only communal seating area is at the tables and chairs used for breakfast, though there are one or two easy chairs near to the Reception Desk.
Very pleasant and helpful staff. Good breakfast included a range of "Viennoiseries" (croissants, pains au chocolat, rusks, Scotch pancakes, mini-crêpes, etc.), yoghurts, three types of cereal, fruit salad, fresh fruit, plus four hot selections (scrambled egg, baked beans, mini-sausages and bacon), selection of teas and coffee. The charming and quiet Parc Emmanuel Liais with its pond, fountain and glass-houses is a short walk away. The hotel is also just one block from the main seafront road, and a walk eastwards passes through pleasant old streets, the main square (where there is a market on Thursdays and Saturdays, if I recall correctly) and a number of cafés, bars and restaurants up to the harbour waterfront. The hotel, itself, is on a corner of two pretty quiet roads. We were there on a Sunday when lots of things, including restaurants, were closed. Reception were very helpful in recommending a restaurant we would not otherwise have known about, which was open and which gave us one of the best dinners of our trip. Reception also organised a taxi to take us to the ferry terminal on our last day, and granted us use of a spare Conference Room where we could sit and read and store our luggage till it was time to leave in mid-pm. I'd be happy to stay there again.

Very clean, with all the expected amenities. Staff were welcoming, kind and very professional. One small hitch at Chek out was spotted by staff and immediately remedied. Just one nights stay so can't speak to the location, but purely on the hotel itself have no complaints what so ever.

Good location, easy to get to and close to the town. As a cyclist, having a dedicated garage for my bike was a huge bonus. The rooms are recently refurbished and spotlessly clean, shower was amazing! Breakfast selection was also very good and plentiful.

I just spent two wonderful nights at this hotel with my best friend, and I can’t say enough good things about it! The service was absolutely top-notch. The staff was friendly, welcoming, and went out of their way to ensure we had everything we needed. The room was cozy and clean, and we felt right at home. Can’t wait to come back again!

No kettle in our room. Only a coffee machine - not everyone loves coffee. But was allowed to use the hot drinks machine in the breakfast room 24/7.
Perfect location. Easy access for marina and the shops. Good breakfasts and excellent customer service. Helpful & goid English. Restaurant maps (yes map of the best restaurants) and other tourist information.
