The rooms are designed to be very efficient. It is great that there is a shelf, a hook and usb charge station close to bed. These are important details.

Better ck in in advance and get your "code" You need your code to get into the facility, and into your room. I hadn't cked in properly, so had a difficult time at first. It is a little small. There are stairs.

Very small hostel, only 3 beds in a very small room with windows. Privacy. Quiet. Friendliest guests on my trip, and from all over. Only 1 @ 1/2 blocks above the tram to the airport. Walking distance to the train station. Right off main streets. Plenty of shopping a restaurants. Museums right there. About a mile up hill to the castle and royal mile.

It was loud and I just didn't sleep well at all. The air in the room got really bad and it was so warm in the pods. No chance to get some more fresh air in. Luggage room is actually just a closet. BE AWARE: For me and alle my other room mates the code for the room didn't work on the morning of departure. Just so you know in advance!!

Everything was modern. Codes worked, was pretty convenient. Community room is nice. Bathroom was nice and clean, never too many people. Location to the city is amazing! Perfect between Old Town, Stockbridge and Dean Village.

Mattress was thin in the middle. I am not particularly heavy. Waist basket in bathroom need to be bigger. Delivery vehicles in the morning noisy - unavoidable though.

One of the shower rooms on our floor is not working during our stay. The curtain in the room is broken.

Really nice location, we didn't take any public transportation to enjoy Edinburgh. The family room is ok for a family to stay.

The noise of course right next to a popular establishment is a bit frustrating but CoDE is super transparent about this. Would have liked access to a washer and a dryer, that would have made it perfect. One washer for the housekeeping and the guests just isn’t enough, and then no where to dry them either.

Location was amazing, couldn’t really get any better. The staff member was super kind and went out of her way to celebrate a guests birthday. That was really sweet

Bombarded with eMails so at the end you are confused and don't get - in my example - the PIN for the luggage store. Even got eMails aboth the check-in the day after I checked out already- ridiculous No idea how to get out of this place if there is a fire.... Rather expensive with EUR 110 per night...

I didn't like how expensive it was, I have stayed in city centers at far lesser prices, and the comfort there was pretty close to this. I feel the privacy was the only added bonus. I also did not like how there was only one WC between so many people. It's very inconvenient.

The location is great and that you have your own capsule, it's very private and comfortable!

Very noisy, because of construction work but not only. The main problem is the door of the room which slams each time someone get in or out. Difficult to sleep well even if the bed is very comfortable !

There was no space inside the room to move around at all once all 3 people were inside.

- it was extremly hot inside the pod, and no fresh air - I had trouble sleeping because of that - 1 toilet is not enough for a whole floor

- the location was amazing, very close to everything - the room and other areas were clean - equipt kitchen available - earplugs provided (the street under the window was quite noisy)

No idea where guests put their bigger luggage. There is a locker on the groundfloor that everyone can access. It was kinda stuffy in the rooms so I left the lightblocking curtain open.

Love the number lockers! Handy when you didn´t bring a lock. Pod was more spacious than expected! people are very respectful!! not very common.

I found this quite noisy because there are a lot of pubs and bars nearby the bin collection in the morning especially the glass bottle it will wake you up or when the restaurants close and they try to clear the rubbish. I'm not a light sleeper and I find that hard with my sleep. The hostel provides ear plugs for the guest.

The location is perfect, 10 minutes walk to the train station and so many bars, restaurants,shops surrounding. The bed is comfortable and the door key code works perfectly. Good value for money if you don't want to spend a fortune as a solo traveller.

It was HOT in the pod beds, very hard to get air to circulate and I woke up a few times at night. Had a cold shower at 5am and then got back to sleep. If I stay again I'll pack a mini fan! The beds are a little bit short for taller folks. I'm 5'8" fyi.

I didn't have to climb heaps of stairs to get to my room. Bathroom was very clean - they've got hairdryers available which is handy (although I didn't use them). Met a chap working there, he was helpful and friendly. It's right in the centre of New Town, so easy to access and get around Edinburgh. I was there to visit family that were down from the Highlands so just needed a bed for the night - fitted the bill great and I would book again if I needed to.
