It is one of the best hostels I ever stayed in. Super central but very clean and very spacious, comfortable rooms with good quality mattress. I will come again!

not social at all, if you want to meet people or be in a social hostel environment this is not it, incredible location, but not much going on here or allowed

good for a quick stop in Edinburgh either for further travel or to just take a break. nice beds, cozy.

During the weekend it can get a little loud, because the hostel is near pubs, but honestly, it’s worth it!

It’s cleaned every day by the friendliest people and the location is amazing!

Suggestion: In the bathroom, the garbage that is under the sink could be stepped on and not opened by hand, because it accumulates paper and people end up not opening it properly and leaving several papers on the floor.

The location is excellent, close to all tourist attractions and also to the train and bus stations. The bedroom, bed and bathroom were also excellent with privacy. The kitchen has all the necessary utensils and is always clean.

The mattress on the bed was already quite worn out, very curvy in the middle, which was not very comfortable.

The pod format is quite nice as you still have quite a bit of privacy even in a communal bedroom

I don't like rumbling glass sound in the morning (while it was packing to the litter containers?). Free ear plugs may help, but it didn't work for me.

Finding the place - It's a little confusing because there seem to be many Rose North Streets in that area, so you end up wandering around and getting a little lost. but all part of the fun. Noise - Location is just next to a pub and it can be quite noisy, especially in the morning, a lot of clatter and bangs as the bottles are taken away in a lorry. But if you are not too concerned by noise, it isn't that big a deal. Space - The space is a little restricted in the pod, but you get used to it Getting in to the pod - Scrambling into your pod if you're on the top one could be challenging for some but once in, it's quite a nice homey place to be. Sanitizer - no hand sanitiser available Washroom facilities - only one toilet for 12 rooms and two shower areas Plug points - The plug points in the room - are a little far away from the beds which make charging a little difficult

Good location - location was fairly good, fairly easy to access the sights, it takes about 20-30 minutes (depending on how fast you walk of course!) to reach the Royal Mile, 10 minutes to the central bus station. Reception - There is no onsite reception but getting into the hostel is easy if you follow the instructions. There is a number you can whatsapp and they are very friendly, and respond to your queries very quickly. They also come if there are any problems. Communal areas & facilities - No breakfast is provided, but there is a communal kitchen where you can prepare your own meals. There is a fridge where you can leave your stuff and a cupboard for dry stuff. There are also cutlery and crockery that can be used. Microwaves, Water heater available. There was a washing machine in a separate area and this could be used to wash and dry clothes. There is also a TV and books if you wish to use them Washroom - shampoo and handwash is provided Friendly atmosphere - The other residents were friendly and people were constantly coming and going, but it was a very nice, non-intimidating atmosphere.

The lockers in the room could be a bit bigger as mine was just big enough for the hand-luggage bag and a small backpack.

The location was perfect and I loved that it was smaller place. The kitchen has everything you need from microvawe to regular oven and everything in between. There is a big tv in the kitchen/living room area and it was great for spending time with other guesst and meeting people.

I had a lot of issues with the access. I’ve never received the code to get in and had to call their reception (not in loco) and wait on the phone for 8 mins to get the code and the bed number.

Cleaning leaves things to be desired (bit dusty), doors are very loud and squeaky and require quite some pushing power to properly operate. Whole place is pretty cold.

Good location, practical guest kitchen. Comfy downstairs guest space with TV and self-stockable fridge.

there is a lot of outside noise. pub goers yelling until 2am, & then from 6 am ish, rubbish trucks & delivery trucks clearly being heard. would get that anywhere in that part of town though.

Pods are dark with no daylight coming in when shut - makes it too easy to sleep in for someone used to having light in the morning so best to have an alarm clock set!

Clean and comfortable, everything that was needed was there, including fancy soap / shower gel and hairdryers. Nice to have easy code access to get inside even late at night when travel is delayed. Pleasant, quiet space downstairs to sit and read or get work done in the mornings and evenings.
