How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.

Our stay was fantastic the staff was amazing and very accommodating the room was clean. And comfy beds. The location was perfect to say the lease. 2 min walk u at King’s Cross. So access to the hole city. Will definitely be staying again 👌👌👌👌👌👌

Very small room, no washcloths or hand towels.
Very tight quarters and not great bathroom. Exceptional housekeeping and fabulous location though. Extremely close to the tube station.

It was my first time traveling alone and I never felt unsafe. It’s a small room, but you won’t need more. Staff is extremely nice & the metroline is around the corner. I was happy with my stay.

Fairway Hotel is brilliant: great location, clean rooms, comfortable beds, reasonably quiet (some traffic noise but it is central London and some noise from people moving around upstairs, nothing unexpected), fantastic price, free strong WI-FI, sheets/ towels smell clean. We have a family room. I will say that there has been very good use of space: there is a small gap between each of the three beds to walk through and the bathroom is tiny but very functional. It is not a spacious room, there is an area to store suitcases so that they are not in the way. There is tea, coffee, TV, soap/ body wash, clean towels, huge wardrobe, small desk with chair in the room. Oh and two windows which open (one in the main room and the other in the bathroom). The gentleman on the front desk was very friendly and helpful. I have nothing bad to say about the place.

Incredibly tiny room and bathroom (even for London), dark, uncomfortable because of size. There were three of us, and you could not move. Had to ask for an extra towel, twice. Not a good value.

The room was incredibly small. The toilet very difficult to move inside. No space for anything. The plugs were not working at the beginning and we need to ask reception to sort it out (and they did!). Not really super clean.
We stayed here before taking out Eurostar in the morning. The location it’s perfect, just across. Staff nice.

Uncomfortable beds, very noisy, train noise every time tube went by, lots of noise from upstairs at 3:30 am, bathroom smelt mouldy, very small room.

It was veru clean, and great location. Underground is really near and it has all the lines to get around the city.

Great stay for London! Room was tiny but for a single traveler like myself it was a perfect accommodation. Close to the Kings Cross station so you could easily travel around the tube to check out all the famous landmarks. Also check out the station for Platform 9¾ photoshoot/shop (for the Harry Potter fans)!Staff was very friendly and even let me check in before the actual check in time! Housekeeping stopped by each day of my stay as well always replenishing clean towels.

If you are a little big person, then the size of the room might be a little concern, it was fine for me.
Staff were exceptional, and the location is pretty close to the metro and national railway. There was no loud noise and didn't face any sort of disturbances.

The bathroom could be larger and the wifi definately needs to be better.
A great hotel for a short stay due to its central location. The staff was freindly and accomodating, although the wifi wasn’t good.

Nothing...good value for money.
Hair dryer in room. Radiator in room with thermostat. Good amount of tea/coffee. Wall mounted TV with all catch up channels. Was allowed to check in early which really helped me. Really close to Kings Cross so easy to catch tube. Shampoo & conditioner on wall in shower. Changed towels daily. Made bed for me! Room not huge but more than adequate. Bathroom was a tad small, more like a wet room but again perfectly adequate. Mirror on wall.in bedroom right by plug so able to dry hair. Nice Kandinsky print on wall.

Nothing, it’s was great. Basic amenities but we didn’t need anything more for this trip
Great location for St Pancreas and tubes to the attractions. It was clean and beds were really comfy. We booked as close to St Pancreas for our early morning start to Paris and wasn’t expecting much because of the price and pictures . However, It exceeded our expectation. We would definitely stay again for a cheap break to London. Basic but clean and comfy and all you need as a good base for your London (or Paris) adventures
