United KingdomIt wasn't the most comfortable of rooms. The mattress had clearly seen better days. The shower was a bit of a mystery. Once I'd determined that the dial which showed off, cold, enviro and full was rotated 180 degrees from where it should be I was able to get some warm water, but the hose was split or the washer was missing from the head; I didn't feel like diagnosing the cause of water leaking. Possibly the worst part was a sudden increase in noise outside the room at around 10pm as staff were vacuuming a room opposite and talking loudly as they were doing so. Apparently there was a turnaround.....at 10pm???
The staff member who checked us in was very friendly.

United KingdomThe room was a small double but very tight for space .Very noisy until around 1am as we were above the beer garden.Breakfast was ok although not very hot .We were seated around 10 minutes before we saw a staff member .When he approached us there was no good morning or anything .We guessed we had to help ourselves to juice etc .
Location was ideal as we were close to the ferry .You were free to come and go as you pleased .

Excellent location with a lovely view over looking the harbour with our room. From old reviews wasn't expecting much but the room was a decent size, comfy bed, tea/coffee facilities with biscuits, etc. Ensuite was smallish but the electric shower was good. Breakfast was decent with a few options. Nice bar that locals use, friendly barman. No sports on TV. Good beer garden out back and benches in the front but cars tended to spoil view of the harbour.

United KingdomStaff are friendly and helpful. There are only 2 washrooms, but I always had a chance to use them when I wanted to, so no problem. In the previous comments I saw there was no elevator, but the stairs are OK for me because I did not have heavy luggages. The breakfast is also OK, I saw negative comments on breakfast in the past but I find it OK. I traveled from Kennacraig Terminal to this hotel with a taxi because it was 22:50 when the ferry would arrive and it was actually 22:50 when people eventually get on the bank. The taxi costs 17 pounds which was fare because it was not a short trip and the gentleman who drove the taxi came from a far away place and needed to go back. Overall a good place to stay, The next morning I went to Campeltown by bus which is nearby, and I felt the neighborhood pretty friendly.
