How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A large selection of dishes for breakfast. Communicative staff in English and Russian. Great location - close to everything. Receptionist helpful when buying train tickets and ordering a taxi. Nice atmosphere.

We expected to have a private balcony, but it was like a part of common terrace. It would be nice to have more kitchen appliances and tableware. The AC worked only at the living room, not at the bedrooms.
Nice small apartment hotel with all nessesary facilities. Convinient location, 10-15 minutes walk to the Old Batumi or to the beach. Tasty and various breakfasts and helpful stuff. Great value for money.

Sometimes we felt some weird smell in the bathroom but it goes away quick since ventilation works well.
Cozy family-owned (at least it feels like that) hotel. Staff was helpful and very kind. Breakfast was fulfilling, we asked about vegan options and next morning we got some. AC works well. Thanks for everything, we'd choose this hotel once again!

Nothing really.
Very central yet super quiet hotel. Good beds, very good shower. Parking is available. Good breakfast. You can leave your luggage after check out and go into town as long as you like.

everything was perfect. i have no complaints
The staff was extremely helpful and even went out their way to make sure we was as comfortable as possible. the breakfast was lovely and cooked by a kind lady who cooked us delicious fresh meals in the morning. the staff spoke good english and turkish with us, the staff even helped us find our way to the bus station and stayed with us until our bus arrived. everything was perfect. iam looking forward to revisit batumi and staying here again

The hotel is in a good location, everything you need is nearby: shops, cafes, currency exchange and the sea is a few minutes' walk away. We must thank the owners who offered us for free a room upgrade from a standard to a superior room. Special thanks to the chef cook who prepared a delicious breakfast that changed every morning. Of course, it should be adjusted that almost every private house in Georgia has pets and dogs that can bark at night, as well as a lot of seagulls that hover over the city at night and can make a little noise. Knowing Russian will open many doors, because not everyone knows English.

Excellent location - middle of town, everything is within walking distance without noise of traffic etc. The staff are very friendly and helpful and speak very good English. The hotel is very spacious and comfortable, and the breakfast was generous and tasty. Excellent value for money. Thanks very much!!

Wonderful staff, friendly and efficient. Very comfortable, clean and well furnished room. The breakfast was fabulous ! Good location just a few blocks from the water promenade and parks which are lovely. You will enjoy your stay.

The staff at Hotel Phaliashvili were warm and welcoming. On several occasions, they went above and beyond - offering us umbrellas for the rain, and sharing home made wine and chacha. Our train wasn’t until 5pm, and even though check out was at 12, they allowed us to keep our bags at reception. The facilities were great and the water pressure is awesome. The location is convenient for walking to the old town, but is also close to some great cafes and bars. 10/10 would stay again.

Staff was helpful (maybe not good in English, but we managed). We stayed one night and we got towels, slippers, shampoo. When we were checking out we had to wake up really early, and they made for us breakfast so we could eat it before our departure, so it was really nice of them.
