Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomThe rooms were not spacious, although the showers were large enough. We were four adults in the family suite which was definitely not ideal - the sofa bed was so uncomfortable as you could feel the springs and the width and length were not enough for average sized people. We asked reception to add an extra mattress and they arranged for the addition of a foam layer but didn’t really make a difference. We don’t believe that it should be advertised for fitting 4 adults. For the presidential suite, if there is two of you it’s ideal but the extra bed is a camp bed and not really comfortable (much better than the sofa bed in the family room). However have in mind that the presidential suite is accessed by the lift directly and there is some noise at night from it.
Very clean and extremely friendly staff. The location is ideal for restaurants and night outs, as well as shopping in the daytime. The rooms have a/c which is relatively silent, they offer comfy bath robes and slippers, as well as luxurious vanity sets. The views from the presidential suite were amazing and you could see the Parthenon on the side. The curtains were also smart with remote controls and there were extra blinds in the family suite.

SloveniaSince the hotel is in the city center, there is also a lot of noise. The church bells were the most annoying, because the windows of the hotel are quite "thin" and you can hear everything. The room has electric blinds and electric curtains, which means that you cannot regulate them yourself, especially the curtains - they are either open or completely darkened. If you don't close the curtains completely, the illuminated sign from the neighboring store shines and flashes into your room all night, which was a little annoying in our case. The hotel is advertised as luxury, but I wouldn't rate it as such. There are really more basic things in the room. The mattress on the double bed was very soft. There were also two children in the room with us, who were sleeping on the couch, which creaked abnormally and we slept very badly. The price is too high for what you get.
The hotel has very good location, it is in walking distance to practically all attractions. Breakfast is very good, you can choose anything from the menu they have. The staff is really very friendly. We celebrated our anniversary and they brought a cake to our room as a surprise, which is really very nice of them.

AustraliaIf I had to say something that I did not like it would be that the rooms were a abit small and very standard basic type considering the price . Tiny lift.
Great location and service by the staff. Nothing was too hard and they were always happy to assist with enquiries, transfers and restaurant recommendations. Good breakfast at cafe downstairs. We stayed 1 night here. Central to everything.

United StatesThe elevator is ridiculously small and inconvenient to operate. Mainly, however, is that a flashing neon sign from a nearby Adidas store flashes all night disrupting the ability to sleep.
The location was good. We did not have breakfast included, but the restaurant on the ground level was good,

CyprusThe place is at the middle of the shopping street, so forget sleeping. It is very loud and you cannot really do anything against it. All the restaurants around are proper tourist traps. Taxis cannot come to the hotel, as it is on a walking street. So you need to carry your own bag for hundreds of meters. The hotel is very worn out and very old. It's an old building refurbished, but the refurbished parts are over used as well. Everything is very narrow. The room is super small. The cleaning is not the best - the shower is full with mold. The door is falling apart, forget privacy in the bathroom. I am very surprised how this hotel reached such a high rating.
Better to avoid, I will not return.

United KingdomI had the most horrific experience with this hotel, whoever is managing/owning is has zero compassion or ethics. I stayed for 5 nights to attend a wedding, on the final night I returned at 3am to find I lost my room key (yes my fault but how the hotel dealt with it that is shocking). Firstly there is no reception after 11pm, understandable for a boutique hotel, but there was also no emergency number left on the door. There was a cleaner in sight, I banged on the door but they were very aggressive and refused to let me in or help me other than throw a business card at me. I called this number and the one on their website over 20 times with zero luck. Bear in mind there are many homeless in the area so this was quite a scary situation. After half an hour I decided to walk the streets to find somewhere to sleep, I went to the Electra hotel who had no rooms but helped me reach the hotel, again multiple phone calls to various numbers and nobody would answer. After another hour I eventually found a very budget hotel to sleep, upon returning the next day I explained the story to the hotel reception who showed zero empathy, she called her manager whose response was 'nothing we can do'. I raised with booking.com upon my return who launched an investigation, the hotel denied any of this happened! In fact they even had the audacity to say we returned the next morning having slept somewhere else out of choice!! Whilst the hotel itself may have been nice enough they clearly do not care about their customers and secondly they are putting their guests in all kinds of danger by not having an emergency contact during the night time hours.
