Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

SwitzerlandThe price compared to other accomodations was very good bur overall i think it is still way too expensive, but this is the island itself its super expensive
The place is amazing! Really beautiful complex, with a nice pool, beautiful view, right by the ocean, you can go snorkeling, 2 really cute cats and guatusas, at the moment there are not a lot of guests so it was very calm, always a lot of space, could lay wherever. The owners are a very sweet family, they were super hospitable, we tomd them we are vegans and got a very good vegan breakfast every morning, location is also amazing, a little outside of the town, quiet but you can still walk there in 5-10 minutes and it is windy, which is very helpful in this heat.

CanadaNothing, it was awesome.
Great location, tucked away just enough that it was quiet, but a 5 minute walk to everything you need. Pictures were spot on, the pool was beautiful. The staff were VERY kind, helpful and beyond warm. I felt like I was home.

United StatesThe bathroom has next to no ventilation so that window had to stay open or else it was a sauna.
I absolutely adored the view from the hotel room, it was gorgeous. The air conditioning was also fantastic. The staff were friendly, patient and very generous.

MexicoVery friendly and helpful staff. Breakfast is small but yummy. No beach here, pool. 10 minute walk to great public beach. This place is the end of the island, literally. Highly recommend this place. No night noise from the west end's bars.😅😎🤪

CanadaEverything was perfect. I stayed there 2 nights and had to move somewhere cheaper, as the price were raising for the weekend. After talking to the manager she told me she could arrange something. She was so nice! When I checkout she told me I could come and visit and enjoy the facilities. Is good to know that when you visit their restaurant you can use the infinity pool. Sor sure, next time I'll visit Roatan I'll book there. I stayed at 4 different places on the island and as backpacker Lands End is bit more expensive but considering that you have free breakfast hand the location is in West End ( no need to spend for transportation). Also everything is clean and pretty compare to what I got in other places. Yes some cheaper but really run down and far from West End. I also had a room that could sleep 3 so at the end really affordable. And so quiet, you don't hear partys or cars noise, just the sound of the waves.

United StatesLand’s End is a wonderful place to stay while in West End. It’s just enough out of the way of the busier main strip of town, but also very walkable to anywhere you want to go. The pool and deck are lovely, overlooking the ocean - the perfect place to watch the sunset. There is free breakfast and a bar. The manager Dania is so welcoming and helped me get a huge water container to the room, as well as do laundry while there. She is a sweetheart and helped me immensely! A bonus is her adorable kids who are eager to welcome you or play dolls (her 3 year old helped me practice my Spanish). You can tell the place is well-loved and cared for. Highly recommend!

United StatesBed was horrible. I've stayed in many cheap hostels and only remember one worse bed. I bet it was a cheap mattress 15 years ago and age has done it zero favors. There is no sound isolation as the doors have air vents cut in them and the walls are porous.
Half the price of other places. Pool was reasonable. Pictures fairly represented the room, though they were clearly touched up with a good filter.

United StatesThe usual Caribbean island challenge, which is running out of specialty items. I prefer diet soda, and this resort ran out due to the supply and demand curve on a small island that is supported by tourism. However, it was a couple of days before I could find diet soda at the grocery store down the street as well, and they only had 4 cans available when I finally found it there 2 days after I had originally sought it out. That said, Lands End did have a small amount of diet soda available by that same afternoon the grocery store had it. It was obvious that the temporary lack of availability was due to a supply issue, not a resort issue, and is an expectation when I book the trip. So it's not a game changing disappointmrnt.
The staff was incredible. I'm planning on returning to Roatan and will stay at Lands End when I go. They are meticulously eco friendly without sacrificing customer satisfaction, which is something I prefer, and completely customer focused, which is also an extreme benefit. This is a small resort that IS NOT a one size fits all all-inclusive. Instead, you just let them know what you would like to do, and they will make all the arrangements for you. It's quaint and quiet at night, allowing you to enjoy the sunset from the balcony, but within a 5 minute walk from a night of listening to bands playing or a day of tourist attraction at West End beach. And the ultimate perk....its perfectly safe for a solo traveler to walk to town at anytime.

United StatesThe bar did not have any fruit (even limes) available. The menu that was advertised was not available during our stay. Everything additional was a fee, even beach towels.
The property was on the ocean and in a quiet location. It offered an ocean saltwater pool, and access to the ocean. Common area and free breakfast was a delight!

United StatesA serene retreat right on the oceanfront where you can open your balcony doors and listen to the waves. A delicious breakfast os included every day in the open air dining room by the saltwater pool. Its a very short walk to the bustling and charming main street of West End for restaurants, stores and dive shops. The staff (and the owners, who are there every day) are so friendly and are there to help arrange any excursions you want.
