Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

South AfricaThe service at the Roost Restaurant most definitely needs attention. Staff are very slow in taking orders, clearing the tables and overall seem very disinterested. Clearly lacking management. Both times we visited the restaurant we experienced the same poor service and both times the bill was incorrect. The issues can be resolved with a strict manager overseeing staff performance.
This was the third time we stayed at The Nest Hotel Nusa Dua and the reception service, room and friendliness was at the same high standard as the previous visits. We love staying here when visiting Nusa Dua and will most definitely return next year.

AustraliaIt was a little busy outside so if you want to walk around be careful when you cross the streets, the closes beach (walking distance) is not the prettiest but it’s amazing to have one so closed by!
Such a lovely spot, right outside the entrance of the resort area. The staff is incredibly friendly and nice, the restaurant on the top floor has great dishes and it’s so nice to spend the night there. The breakfast includes a big range of different food, one of the most varied buffet brekkies we’ve ever had. Also loved the hallways with the bird sounds, really a nest

Lovely hotel, great pool, beds comfortable, staff very helpful. Water in room daily. Use of robe & slippers, nice big bath. Had a suite on the 5th floor, 2 toilets and 2 sinks in bathroom

AustraliaThe location was a little inconvenient unless you have a scooter or get a taxi. There is a 25-30 minute walk to the closest beach and shops.
The staff were great, very friendly and helpful, always greeted with a smile. The room was large, clean and comfortable. It had the biggest bed I have ever seen. The breakfast had a very large selection.

AustraliaThe rooftop pool was lovely, overlooking the surrounding area, but there was not a lot of long chairs, or shade. This is the only outdoor area available (other than balcony and the restaurant ) to sit, relax or read.
The hotel was very clean, comfortable and spacious. One of the biggest king beds I've seen. The staff were very professional and friendly and helpful.

ThailandIn both rooms the basin in the bathroom only had cold water so I had to boil a kettle to have a shave. The internet was in and out throughout our 10 day stay. We called for the technician on 3 occasions to fix it but it never really improved. It was also an open network which doesn't help if you want to do online banking. There was only 1 chair on the balcony in the first room and none in the second room. In every restaurant/bar in Bali you pay a minimum extra 10% service charge and 6% government tax on top of your bill, which seriously adds up over 10 days. Tip - Download the "MyBlubird" app which is the local equivalent of Grab and is an excellent app.
We had a 10 night stay and had 4 nights in a deluxe twin room before upgrading to an executive suite for 6 nights on a room only basis. Both were on the second floor of the six floor hotel. The hotel is described as 4 star and we agree with this grading. It is very well furnished with delightful, happy and helpful staff who couldn't do enough for you. There is a very busy road directly outside the hotel however the security guard stops the traffic for you to allow you to cross safely which was much appreciated. The area itself is very nice and only 300m from the beach. However it is the district that has a lot of all inclusive top end hotels so there are not many bars/restaurants nearby unless you like the tiny Indonesion local food cafes. Mr. Bob restaurant is excellent and only a short cab ride down the road. Also Mandala restaurant about 800m away on the same road is very nice as well. Coco Bistro was recommended but we were not impressed, the fattiest pork ribs that I have ever eaten. Deluxe room: The room was quite big with a huge bed that could sleep 4 people. There is a small mini bar fridge in which we bought drinks from outdoors. It was comfortable with decent views to the north side of the hotel including a beautiful flowered path below. We were very happy with the room and it had good a/c. Executive Suite: This was a show stopper as you entered the room. In the main room you had a seperate toilet, a massive TV with a large couch but a very small balcony and good a/c. 2 large sliding doors opened up into a very nice bedroom, again with a large comortable bed and good aircon plus a safe deposit box. A further sliding door opened up into a huge bathroom c/w with a large metal bath, 2 water basins and a massive shower. (tip - take extra coat hangers as you only get 4 in the wardrobe). We were very happy with this room and it was worth the money to upgrade.

Australiaa shame that we cannot have breakfast on the roof top outside not enough chairs at the pool, when busy, it feels like we are on top of each other. no landry racks to put wet clothes to dry only one chair on the balcony, another one would have been nice for two people.

United StatesThe only things we didn't like was the limited amount of chairs by the pool, which is tough as they only have so much space, and the pool bar doesn't open until 11am. It would have been nice if open sooner but it truly was an awesome experience!
We stayed 10 days at the Nest. It is hard to find something we didn't like/ enjoy. The staff was super friendly and took care of all the customers! We got breakfast included with our stay and that was worth it, definitely a must if you stay. We live in a dry desert and the humidity was tough, but even the hallways cooled you down! The Nest is pretty well known with our cabs and guided tours so it was easy to get around, and a short walk to the beach!!
