Not enough space in the room. A little bit expensive for hostel.

Clean room with bunk beds and external private bathroom. The center is a 5' walk away and there is a parking space at kent station for around 10 euros per day.

I asked for a towel, they charged me 5 euros and if I would return it they would give me back 3 euros. Afterwards I found out that the towel was stained, maybe washed but stained with what I assume was blood. I returned it and got a new one. The sheets did not smell like freshly washed, they seemed like they had been used previously.

The staff was really helpful, breakfast was enough, hot water was available at all times

The room and bathroom were very clean and comfortable and most importantly, quiet at night. Bru Bar and Hostel is very central to the city itself and within easy walking distance to many pubs down the street.

There was mold in the bathroom on the ceiling, and next to my bed on the wall around the lamp.

Staff were very friendly and the beds were comfortable. :)

The pillows were a bit thin, we were provided with extra immediately upon request. Breakfast was alright , it did say it would be a light breakfast and the price of accomodation is fairly cheap considering but maybe some boiled eggs could be added or some ham and cheese.

The staff was amazing, helpful and with a happy disposition. The hostel's location is superb, beautiful neighourhood , lot's of pubs and restaurants in walking distance. The bus station is 5 minutes away and the train is maybe 7 to 10 minutes. Nice building, clean and easy access for guests.

We did smell tobacco smoke as we mounted to our room altho it is in theory prohibited. Also, no fault of Bru Bar Hostel but a rowdy crowd gathered on the street after the bar closed and it went on for hours...not a very restful noc.

Bru Bar Hostel was ideally located for us as we were on foot to and from the Cork Train Station. Our stay in Cork was very short so a less expensive overnoc accommodation was our goal. The coffee, cereal and toast station in the bar was a very nice touch as we had an early train to catch. There was a songwriters/singer competition the night we stayed and that was great fun to watch! The staff were friendly and helpful.

No complaints. Reasonable price for a night in a hostel. Shared a room with someone who arrived at 3 am, and interrupted my sleep but I have a light sleep anyways.

Very friendly staff. Facilities were clean. Breakfast was good, too.

The storage caskets under the beds are a great way to save space in the small rooms, but I noticed in the morning that I couldn't access any of my clothes because they can't be pulled out while the person on the lower bed is still lying down. For early risers that is very inconvenient, it's either delaying plans or disturbing another person. Generally there was not much space, the upper bed and the bathroom could use a small shelf to place a water bottle for the night and a change of clothes respectively.

The staff was very nice, and the bar being right downstairs was very convenient. The dinner deal of having a pizza and a pint was great, I didn't have to go out or worry about dinner and still had a nice evening. It's very convenient that there are lockers available to store luggage after checking out the next day, it gave me the chance to go explore before leaving in the evening.

Twin room- bunk beds with private shower/toilet. Clean and tidy, perfect for what we needed. First time in a hostel would definitely hostel again. Nice bar, good location for bars, restaurants, bus etc. Our room on the front 2nd floor was remarkably quiet.

My room was located right above the bar and the music was so loud from the speakers underneath the room that the bed was actually rattling. Music seemed to stop at 11:30 on weekdays and 12:30 on Friday/Saturday so possibly not a problem for most people but I found it very frustrating as I am not a night owl. Wouldn't have minded if the room was cheaper but I felt it was bad value because of this

Staff were lovely and room was very clean. Location is excellent
