Convenient to ferry, good value with good restaurant

our bathroom was really dated and shabby - shower curtains over a bath with discoloured grouting and silicon sealant are not what is expected these days. The shower was slow and intermittent in temperature, the toilet bowl was cracked and the toilet situated too near the sink as to cause the seat to slip.

the staff are really helpful and welcoming and the bar was good

The bathroom wasnt cleaned properly lots of hairs in the bath and shower, needs updating very tired bathroom, spoke to reception and they serviced the room so no worries there, the Double bed way to hard, could do with some mattress toppers, again asked reception and provided with another duvet so slept on that.

The staff are amazing, cannot do enough, the Breakfast is delicious, plenty of choice, food in the bar again plenty of choice and really tasty, lovely atmosphere and even got to see some live music, travelled as a family and really accommodating with our 7 year old son, would definately stay here again great Base and close to the Port.

Didn't serve breakfast early so we missed it because we had to take the ferry. Shower pressure was very low.

Bathroom was tired and jaded though clean. The ‘battleship grey’, paintwork, throughout, is an acquired taste. I haven’t acquired it……. Noise from kitchen extraction/ventilation, system, ran late into night making it difficult to sleep, similarly, loud noise of splashing water, due to lack of, or defective,rainwater goods.

Staff and restaurant food, were excellent, particularly the haddock/seafood chowder.

the wait at reception was too long and, while it's a very nice hotel, the decor needs updating.

I had an excellent salad for dinner and the staff in the restaurant were really friendly and efficient. Lovely, calm atmosphere.

The family room needs updating. The lino in bathroom was loose and old .The bath was stained and the sealant on shower glass door is inadequate to stop water leaking onto floor.There was no hot breakfast available till after 7.30am and we had to leave at that time.We weren't informed of this on check in.

The front of hotel and reception was lovely. Check in was fast .Car parking was adequate.

Rooms are very basic for the price. Bar food was nice. Hotels needs a revamp in most areas except for the bar and reception

The bed needed a new mattress, the sound levels from above and beside us were high (could here the toilet flush from both directions), the grey colour everywhere was depressing, especially when looking out at the rain.

Location was perfect and staff at reception and in the restaurant/bar were excellent.

The only faults that i could point out were that there were no teaspoons in the room, the paint was chipped on the walls and furniture, there was a ladies' sandal wedged between the TV and the wall and the grey colour scheme was a bit overwhelming and intense. These are not major negatives, just constructive feedback.

I liked the breakfast and how helpful and friendly the breakfast staff were.

Location was great. Rosslare is amazing. Very friendly staff. Stephen and Kennedy were lovely. The food and service was very good. This hotel has been modernised but needs more upkeep with painting etc. just small stuff.

It is an old hotel, very dark grey paint make the rooms appear sad,, dark. No tuch of coastal design. You don't want to stay in the room to relax, just sleep. We had good sleep thou. You need bring the shoes for the bathroom and shower,, as the floor is not the cleanest. Good quality toilet paper. Very simple breakfast. Vegetarian option for cooked breakfast was bad choice. Everything undercooked, soagy hashbrawns. No continental choice as cheese or Salami at all. The only eatable was cereals and toast. The breakfast lady was probably serving army in her younger years, as the army controlling system stayed in her 😂😅. Don't drink coffee, the worst ever. Tee is good thou.

It was pretty outdated and needs lots of work. The bathroom was pretty bad, the mattress was springy and the room was just run down.

Evening meal fish and chips not nice over cooked and backed it was served in was difficult for my elderly father who left most of the meal. However the breakfast was pretty good

Personal opinion , the restaurant close a bit early 21:00 no more food , for a place like this 22:00 i say could be perfect . I understand that now maybe it's not the season yet , but the place looks quite busy .
