How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

A couple of small things about the dinner. I think we should have stuck to the bar menu.
Such a beautiful valley to stay in. Staff were so friendly. Room was bigger than expected.

We wanted to find a place off the beaten path and this was a wonderful find! They were able to get us into our room before check in time and took great care of us while we waited. There are several walking trails that depart from the hotel and take you through the beautiful countryside. There is a beautiful river and all sorts of activities to do in better, warmer weather. Even in the cold rain, with low clouds it was wonderful sitting by a fireplace looking out the window at the beautiful mountains.

Fantastic place, highly recommended! This was our 4th stay at Delphi, and our first stay since we had our wedding there in summer of 2022 - amazing experience from A to Z! Lovely staff, great facilities and amenities, cosy and comfortable rooms, fantastic vegan food (lunch dinner and breakfast) - all in a scenic, quiet and unique setting. Can’t wait to go back :)

The room was very warm ,it would have been nice to open the windows out ,they only opened slightly.

The staff were incredibly friendly! The dinner was also outstanding and me and my boyfriend are vegan/vegetarian and they had an entire menu for us with delicious food! We couldn't have asked more

Our stay was just too short.
The staircase is fully glazed and the uninterrupted 360 degree view with balcony from the dining room located on the top floor is just stunning.

It'd be great if the spa hours were extended later - I could have used an evening sauna after cycling down from Westport!
A stunning location with a very unique feel that is laid out incredibly well, with fantastic food. The setting is beautiful and there are clearly a huge number of activities available to guests - I wish I had been staying longer!

Expected the restaurant to be a bit more luxurious for a “resort”. The bar area people were eating at looked more relaxing than the actual restaurant. Menu was extremely limited and food was just average. Could possibly have been disappointing due to my own high expectations of the Delphi. Also expected the Spa (booked the thermal suite experience not treatment’s) to be top notch based on photos I had seen but found it to be average.
Location was great, close to Kylemore Abbey, Connemara National park, killary fjord etc so a great base to explore that side of Galway. views amazing and just a vibe been in the middle of nowhere cozied up. Bed was the most comfortable bed I have EVER stayed in. Staff on reception were really lovely.

I thought there would be cooked fresh breakfast. Didnt like the buffet breakfast. I thought there would be more fish on the dinner menus

One of the male bar tenders and food servers had long hair, it was not tied up properly and was loose and unkempt.

Location is remote but to be expected. Nearest village Leenaun which is a good 15 mins drive.
Relaxing place...rooms comfortable. Staff very well trained. Wide range of activities- we did zip line which was enjoyable.

The hot tub closed early in the evening at 7pm.
The scenery was fantastic and so quiet. Food was very good also. The young waitress who looked after us at dinner and breakfast was delightful.
