Each review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive info (e.g. emails, phone numbers, credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (i.e. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
Guidelines and Standards for Reviews
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Shower drain was blocked but fixed immediately by the staff.
Staff were really welcoming and friendly! Gave us useful recommendations and information to get around Dublin. Room and kitchen were all very clean. Provided shower gel and shampoo at the reception desk. Hairdryer and fan were also available to borrow. We really enjoyed the stay :)

we lost our key 30euros replacement a bit ouch but our own fault.
Great price as only needed somewhere to lay our heads. Basic, but clean and modern, great staff.

The staff ( one was Lou) went out of there way to help us settle in. They even heated our microwave meals up when we thought the kitchen area had a microwave. This level of service was genuine and outstanding.

It is a bit of a trek if you want to visit the pubs at Temple Bar. It was kind of strange that you were prohibited from eating or drinking anything in the room. I did not like that the bathroom light and ceiling fan in the bathroom were motion controlled rather than with a switch. Also did not care much for the rough anti-slip floor in the bathroom. The sound insulation between the rooms is fantastic, but not the one to the shared hallway.
I was able to check in early. The staff are super responsive and helpful on their guest portal. There are lots of reasonably priced upgrades that can be purchased on their guest portal. The communal spaces are well kept and inviting. They have various things to loan out near the reception, including a Switch (from what I saw).

A good place to stay for a few nights. But not suitable with children, if you want to cook for the children, you need to have your own utensils. The fan in the bathroom is on. But it has to be, otherwise it would be constantly humid in the bathroom. That's why the reception offers earplugs.
Apartments in a very good location in the city. Everything is within walking distance. Beautiful environment for young people. This is not a hotel, but living quarters for students. But everything is clean, safe. A good place to stay for a few nights. But not suitable with children, if you want to cook for the children, you need to have your own utensils.

The room was pretty small, and there was no air con, so we had to leave the window open to get airflow (which was a little loud). Overall it was a cool night, though, so it wasn’t too big of an issue. Also, the elevator was broken when we arrived so we had to carry our luggage up three flights of stairs.
The location was top-notch. You’re not going to get a better value stay this close to the city centre. It was very clean, and the common areas were really nice.

Basic and no frills. The site does tell you that, so make sure you bring necessary toiletries . The kitchen didn’t have tea/coffee mugs . Also room is suitable for one person or maybe two small people .
It is compact and clean. Easy walking distance to transport / attractions .

The pillows were a little insufficient. There were two people in the room, but only one chair. The toilet door was right in your face when using toilet. Bathroom fan didn't turn off ever
We liked the price, it was much more reasonable than any other accommodation we could find. We liked the location - not right in the city, but close enough to walk everywhere within 20 minutes. We liked the local cafes and restaurants for breakfasts and dinners. We liked the en suite bathroom, free wifi, good communication with the staff

The towel rental thing was weird. Just provide a towel in the room and save time.
It was clean, modern, good area and I got a great night’s sleep. The bathroom facilities were excellent! The locks made us feel very safe.

Over an hour queuing to check in. Made us late for whole day. Also lift not working when staying on 4th floor is not ideal either

Shame you can’t have kettles in the room for a morning brew. It states no food or drink in the rooms at all.
Decent location if you want whisky tours and Guinness Factory walkable distance. Temple bar area is a good 20/25 min walk which was fine for us.
