How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Breakfast very low quality. The orange juice was undrinkable, like 5% juice .

So sad female bathrooms and toilets at the first floor ..and my dorm second floor... No kitchen business hostel not my favorite one

Washrooms were on separate floors than the room I was staying in... I've had comfier beds in hostels for half the price
Probably the best location you could possibly get in dublin, close to all transit , alot of things to do nearby Staff was friendly Alot of social things like game room and reasonably priced bar

Could have had tea making in room. Quite expensive for what you got. Sound proofing not the best.

Toilet in the room clogged twice; first night had a seriously drunk housemate; room itself was had a window to their open-air drinking area (loud the first night [Saturday], after that it was OK.) Room itself was stuffy (had to have the window open at all times - hence the problem with folks outside.)
Facilities were good - staff was excellent; location was decent (a bit of a hike to any tourist attraction). Wide range of clients in the hostel. Generally seemed like it had a good vibe. Fellow travellers all seemed to be pretty nice. Fun associated bar/games room.

wasn’t the cleanest. room was tired bed felt damp bubbles on the bed linen meant it was very on comfortable. the bed was very uncomfortable to.

Our room was very hot. We could not figure out how to turn off the heater which made it uncomfortable for sleeping, especially in a shared room between male and female. Bathrooms did not all have shower supply available which would be the only downfall, as you have to pay for anything you did not bring along with you. I am not used to that as most hotels and BNBS in Ireland provided all of these anemities for us
we loved that the space was clean, organized and we were served and attended to well. It was a lively location and we did not experience loud noises that kept us awake at night. The location of the hostel is convenient enough - you are not far from bus stops, restaurants and entertainment are within walking distance. There is no breakfast served so we did have to hunt for something in the morning but that was part of the adventure. the bathrooms were very clean, and private as well. I would recommend putting a stool in the shower stalls to make it easier to place clothes while showering to avoid them getting wet. and Perhaps complimentary towels instead of paid ones?

We had a private 8 person room and it was really warm. Even with windows and fans on we struggled with the heat.
Bar very good value for money, clean in rooms and communal areas.

The bar restaurant was a bit disappointing and I wish I'd gone somewhere else to eat. The vibe was fun but more nightclub than pub. I was looking for something a little more chill.
Clean and comfortable, easy check in, cool atmosphere. Great for young adults travelling with friends.

Total lack of air conditioning in the rooms is unforgivable. An electric fan and a half-opening window wete totally inadequate measures to alleviate the stuffy, hot room. Also, code for lockers downstairs wiuld not work, staff having to be called on two occasions to rectify this problem. The Generator, once great, has deteriorated in the past few years. Sad to say!
Overall, a good experiebce. Bed comfortable and staff friendly and helpful.

The room was very hot at night with 6 of us sleeping in there
