Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United KingdomIt was very dark. I would worry about students living there for a term. It would be inexpensive to fit some reflectors on the cement wall opposite the window.
It was functional

United KingdomAs it was student accommodation and my daughter has just done 4 years at Uni, I thought this accommodation was better than anything she stayed in. It would have been nice to have tea and coffee making faculty's in the room and not have to get dress to got to the communal Kitchen to make it. How ever it wasn't a massive problem.
This is a bed only location, very central to Cork's massive selection of pubs and restaurants. We went to a gig at The Marquee, which was about a 30min walk. The staff were very friendly and very helpful. The staff recommend Tony's and we weren't disappointed. Bed was comfortable, washing/shower faculty's were good and clean.

IrelandGiven the price of the room, compared to hotels available at the same time, I was happy with the room in general. To be fair, it is a bit spartan, given that it is student accommodation and if you go in expecting the facilities of a hotel room, you will be disappointed. However, the room itself was of a decent size and the bed was comfortable and of a decent size for one person. The room could have done with a bit of a clean, but it was dirty per se, just a few scuff marks here and there.
The location of Lee Point is excellent, being only a short walk to the city centre. My friends and I were in Cork for the Joe Bonamasso concert at The Marquee and found Lee Point to be an excellent location. The reception staff were very friendly and helpful on arrival and helped us to find our way around.

IrelandBasic accommodation but well located. Tight space - it is, what it is, student room. Could feel the springs in the mattress and walls are very thin. You can hear any movement in the block you're located in. It wasn't too expensive though so it's fine for that price.
Good location and modern and clean.

New ZealandOur room could have done with a bit more of a clean and faced out to where they were installing a new bridge which meant it was loud from early morning until 11pm with the work crews. Earplugs are provided at reception so not the end of the world!
We stayed at Yugo Lee Point for a brief few nights in Cork before heading out to Kerry. Great accommodation in an excellent location, easily walkable around the city centre and loads of great pubs and restaurants nearby. We had a car and used the discounted parking at Grand Parade. This worked really well, you just have to make sure you move the car every 24 hours. The rooms are a good size and have the basics you need a few nights stay. Kitchens have the basic amenities to knock together simple meals and breakfasts. We used the gym a couple of times as well. Basic equipment and small but again, enough for you to get a decent workout in. The front desk staff were lovely and helpful when asked questions. All in all a good place to stay at a fair price and we would definitely stay again

IrelandThe ONLY sightly annoying thing was the scanner for our keycard into our accommodation block wasn't working the whole time. At night, we had to get the night porter to open it with his key, and even that didn't always work. I think ours was the only block that had the issue, so I don't want to fault the accommodation too badly for it.
The accommodation was clean, central, and modern. The staff were lovely, the room was very clean and had a great view and the mattress was comfortable.

ItalyNo big thing, however, the toilet flush was working poorly.
This works as student accommodation during academic year, it's a very large building. I had a good room, with enough space. The bathroom was wheelchair accessible, so it was large. The possibility of using the kitchen was appreciated.

IrelandStaff weren’t the kindness. I arrived a bit before check in time and went to reception to ask a question and it felt the receptionist did not want to be there at all, she did not say I could sit and wait at the reception area, just to come back at 4. Then when my parter arrived later he gave me my name and yhey said there was no registration under my name, my parter then thought he went to the wrong Yugo, but when sharing location he was at the right spot. I sent him the reference number and the guy continued to say that. I had to go to the teception to show him the keys and just then said, fine , he can go now. Felt he was trying to make things difficult for my partner. Definitely from of the house members should be much more amicable
The room was nice and clean, a bit too warm but it was very silent outside so we could sleep with the windows open
