Not a great breakie . Not much food put out . Had to ask for some cheese as i don’t eat a hot breakie so had small roll and cheese . Very limited food on display

I did find my meals very tasty, but also a bit rich for my palate a lot of salt. I had turkey and ham Sunday. My mash under the turkey and ham was very very soft I didn't like that it was very off putting. I eat at 5 thought the veg was far too overdone nothing seemed that it was cooked fresh. Except for the chips. I though one thin slice of ham and one slice of turkey was very minimulilistic. We eat dinner next day also too much salt on fries. Food could be fresher and less over done veg.

I didn't have the breakfast. I loved the views from my window and my room had everything I needed. Staff were very helpful and accomadating.

This was a great one night stay. The view of the river was fantastic. We liked having a kettle in our room. It provided good access to the new greenway/rail trail and even provided bikes you could borrow.

When checking in, I was told we had breakfast included as I couldn't remember, but the next morning, we were informed it wasn't and had to pay an additional €15 each.

The room was nice and the beds were very comfortable. The staff were very nice, especially the lady that we checked in with for breakfast whom had a lovely friendly way.over all it was a nice relaxing experience. I definitely will stay again.

Door stop in the bathroom meant the door banged into use while using toilet. The bath panel wasn’t attached and fell off a couple of times.

Good location to Athlone. Good selection at breakfast. Enjoyed using the swimming. Bike storage good. Staff very friendly and helpful.

Staff; Breakfast and dining room staff could not "wait" to clear the table of plates, even if partner (in this case) had not finished the breakfast or meal. While I understand the team is under pressure to clear tables for the next "guest/s", it left us with an impression "please move on, we are busy". We had to ask for your team not to remove plates until our meals were completed. The above approach was experienced each day we stayed/dined at your hotel. Food was excellent, tasty and well presented.

Reception and GYM facilities are great, professional.

My room overlooked a really loud set of extractor fans and, unfortunately, it was hot, so I had to sleep with the windows open 🤣 I know that’s partially my own fault, as I could have paid extra for a waterfront view instead.

Really clean, comfortable rooms Great location - right in the town Staff were so lovely and helpful! The pool was nice (albeit a bit different to the photos online)

Had problems getting GAA on Irish tv Staff pleasant but no personality.And I've been staying there for years. Brought a big event mither huge sponsor there few years ago.Wouldnt dream of it now

We had our car and where one could park for the hotel was not entirely clear. This may have been my fault, I may have missed directions in my booking, but when we got there the signs suggested that the hotel's own car park was closed and that parking in the APCOA car park adjoining it carried the risk of being fined or clamped. I asked at reception but found the receptionist who checked us in unclear, and not particularly interested, in which areas of the wider car park had been assigned to the hotel. I was left a little anxious that I would come out in the morning and find my car clamped. It wasn't, happily!

This is a good hotel for an overnight stay in Athlone. It is conveniently located close to the centre of town. It has everything one would need for a comfortable stay.

People outside the front of the hotel at 2am very loud and not told to be quite by hotel staff. No fridge in room

Asked for a bedroom fan and it was sent to the room. I didn't have a swimming hat and I hadn't brought my wallet with me to the pool but they allowed me to come back later to pay for it. Staff were friendly and helpful

Too soft mattress, too high pillows, duvet much too heavy for time of year and room overheated so had window open window all night, sound of constant dripping water from roof onto big plastic drum outside window meant I couldn't sleep for 2 nights. Very tired after

Mostly it was fine, but just a small gripe. At dinner we asked about the special deal for meals before 7pm but were told by the waiter that the price had increased from the one shown on the card. This could have been a mistake but a niggle nonetheless. We had the normal menu instead.

Room was large and comfortable. It was in the attic area with varilux window so they only gave a limited view. The hotel had a lovely setting alongside the river and with very easy access to the town. The breakfast was excellent. Overall, though, it was very good and we will stay there again
