Booked twin room with river view in advance but was moved on arrival to room at back of hotel with view of car park. Disappointing with no reduction in room rate for inconvenience. Didn't spoil stay too much and handled well by staff.

the restaurant food was very good. the hotel itself is tied, they need to spend some money on it, it was busy all the home so it’s not like they don’t make enough to fix. the gym and pool is public which is strange and the gym has 🦕 pieces of gym equipment in it!

Brasserie had signs on water view tables ‘Reserved at 7.30pm’ All other tables were occupied. We requested at 6.30 could we eat there and we’d vacate table by 7.30. This was facilitated and we didn’t take a starter and didn’t delay over dinner in order to be finished on time. By 7.30 no one had come for any of the low couch tables or the tables by the wall. The staff then removed the signs. We had a feeling from the start that the signs were put up to encourage customers to sit at tables where it could be seen from foyer that the brasserie had customers. Think what you may! The brasserie has a tap at bar for 0% Draft Guinness but none was available. The following day my husband ordered 0%Draft Heineken. Later in afternoon as the bar started to get busy he was told at 4.00pm there was no draft but 0% bottle Heineken which was more expensive. Was this because of busy times it’s quicker to sell bottles and being dearer gain larger profits?

Room view was of the car park. The leisure centre wasn't clean. There was no shampoo or body wash in the containers. Only one toilet for the large lady's changing room.

Hotel was lovely. Rooms were spacious and clean. Beds were very comfortable. Food was excellent.

The room was cold on arrival. noise from traffic could be clearly heard as if the traffic was in the room. I think the swimming pool was a bit tricky as the steps of the pool were built into the wall of the pool and you have to walk in backwards and hold on to the bars tightly. Not great for me as I had an injured knee. One of the customers in the pool had to explain where the steps were. The person that was at the desk should have explained this. I wasn’t asked if I had been there previously and I did go to the pool area using a walking stick so in my opinion that was disappointing.
