The staff at dinner on the first night were slow with the service. We had to wait 20 minutes for our drinks to come out. My wife had to go up twice to remind them, but we still had a wait. When the drinks eventually came out. One of those drinks had been forgotten. The room we stayed it was meant to have a nespresso machine, but it wasn't there. My wife rang the reception and was told it would be up. We stayed in room 203 for two days, and in spite of her asking, it never came. The shower over a bath is never a good thing as it is awkward to use. Apart from those two things I have mentioned, the room was fine. It's the little things and attention to detail that makes for a pleasant stay. Some of those details were lacking. And especially for the price I paid.

The room was extremely hot, we didn't get much sleep even with window open all night, it was overly hot. The plug in both the sink and the bath kept getting stuck and for the price of the room on a Monday night, we felt breakfast should have been included.

Bed was big, room was clean and spacious.

Stayed Friday and Saturday night we requested the room to be cleaned on Saturday so we could have a rest Saturday afternoon but it wasn’t cleaned until close to 4 o clock Could not relax until after that

Only small crib... The tv's in the bedroom were quite dated and even though I asked at reception that the main tv didn't have any irish channels it wasn't fixed. I had to reset and reprogram the tv myself.

Great location, right in the centre of athlone. Family was nice to have the separation for the kids and adults. Swimming was nice for kids to have some pool time.

Hallways have a strong stuffy odor due to lack of air circulation. Building does not seem to have adequate air conditioning system. I also had trouble cooling my room down due to lack of air conditioning. The property should have a shuttle to the train station. It's a short distance from the train station but it's too far to walk with luggage.

Enjoyed being within walking distance of the town. The room was clean and adequate but a little warm as I was there on one of the few days in the year when the sun was out. Breakfast was very good and convenient.

Some of the rooms were very stuffy and claustrophobic and very warm. The showers were old fashioned and not easily access for a person with walking difficulty. There needs to be more easily accessible showers ,with proper seating and grab rails. The restaurant staff were very untrained and was very poor, they simply were not trained and service was so bad.

Like the location because I can do lots of walking while my elderly sister can enjoy the comfortable bedroom and telly.

Everything was lovely

Very centrally located . 2 mins walk to the town . Hotel staff were all very helpful and friendly The manager running breakfast was very nice had a chat each morning . Bed was a little springy but other than that it was great

There wasn't anyone on the desk in the leisure centre so after waiting for 10mins we just went ahead in. Pool was lovely temperature but the steamroom didn't smell nice there was a fusty smell no oils used. Needs a revamp very old looking. Sauna wasn't very hot either.

The river view room we stayed in was absolutely beautiful. We loved the view from the bar area at the back and the easy access via the new bridge down to shops restaurants and bars.

The staff in restaurant clearly did not like there job and definitely did not want to be there They barley spoke and when they did it was poor service Honestly never seen anything like it before Most likely won’t be back
