Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

United StatesDid not like the property. It did not feel safe. Seemed catered towards folks needing cheap/immediate shelter. Did not have a fun or welcoming atmosphere like most travel hostels. Did not have basic safety things like luggage lockers or curtains. Felt unsafe leaving our items in the room and left the property without staying the night due to it feeling really off. We were accused of stealing keys after leaving despite leaving keys on the check out counter with a card containing our name.
We left after seeing the property. We have a lot of experience with hostels and this was not adequately safe or well managed. Pictures are not an accurate representation.

United KingdomIt was a grim place, very basic and dated. The cleanliness of the bathroom was questionable and it felt icky. It was very noisy as well.
The location was good (close to Temple Bar area) but that was about it. Staff were friendly and you could keep your luggage at the reception after check out for free. There were 2 coat hangers in the room. It was a secure building with multiple locked doors/coded doors to get through. Heater was warm.

United StatesThis hostel is horrible - if you’re a woman traveling to Dublin and want a cheap place to stay - please put your safety first and do not stay here. My friend and I were the only women in the entire hostel, and I woke up in the morning to find a man naked in the hallway, clearly sporting some sort of bondage/bdsm gear. Not cool at all. The location is lively (meaning people are outside screaming and laughing all night), and the facilities are very poor. The entire hostel is decorated with a “Native American” theme, hence the name, which is very offensive as the women sporting traditional gear in the several murals are clearly white. Further, the bunk beds were creaky and held together by a piece of rope. The whole experience was a nightmare.

LuxembourgHere's the revised version: Everything was terrible! There's no reception; employees from the pizzeria have to juggle between the reception and the pizzeria. So, you're literally left by yourself after the handover of the keys. The place doesn't look clean (and it isn't). Bathrooms are dirty, and the organization of the rooms is even worse. The room next to the reception is super small. There are no toilets nearby if you in the room next to the reception; you have to go up to the first floor even if you just need to pee. Stairs were blocked with trash ( picture ) There was no explanation about the codes; literally every door needs a code, and you have to figure out how it works by yourself (yes, even the codes to access the floor with the toilets). The WiFi didn't work! The windows were cracked and taped as a quick fix, making the insulation even worse (it's very noisy outside), and the curtains were dirty. The bed my friend had was terrible. We swapped beds one night because he could feel every mattress spring! And yes true! I felt every single spring! I wouldn't even suggest this hostel for a night; my friends and I only spent 2 nights there ( it was no good). Dublin is great, but to enjoy your stay, consider another place! The amenities were not really good! There was a small area with a microwave and kettle but don't get your hopes too high, no common area for you to sit and enjoy your microwave food. Not even a chair. Apparently there is a terrace but I couldn't see it as there was no personnel available at the reception to ask about its existence. they were busy with the pizzeria and /or delivery. I understand it's a hostel, but for the price, it should provide guests with , at least, some comfort. The staff were friendly/fine; there's nothing bad to say about them honestly, they were too busy doing different tasks, so I can't blame them, but the management lacks management skills!
Nothing!

United KingdomThe staff found it fit to have very loud conversations around 2am, in an annexe to the room in which we slept. They could have given first floor rooms to solve this problem. Horrible dorm. No proper place for clothes.

United StatesThe hotel was dirty. There was a lot of blonde hair in my bad, which means the sheets were not changed between customers. We had to pay for towels. Everything in the facility was an afterthought. There were no outlets in the room. No counters in the bathrooms, toilet paper were just laying around. No hot water in every bathroom. Very low water pressure in the showers. Old and lumpy spring mattress.

United KingdomThere was initially no one available at check-in, although it was advertised someone would be there. There are no charging ports by the top bunk. The beds were uncomfortable, with springs in the mattress. The location was very noisy - expected because it was so central, but made it very difficult to sleep. The bathrooms and floor were very unclean. At about 9am one morning, someone came in to start making beds for people who had checked out, waking the rest of us in the room.
Very central location

IrelandIt was totally false advertising, no reception area, whole place was dirty and unsafe.
I arrived at location. I couldn’t find it as front door is old and dirty not as displayed. No receptionist only girl working in pizza parlour answered door handed me key and room number. I went to room which was dirty with 6 males there and bags and bed clothes everywhere. I immediately left and handed key back. I expect a total refund.

ItalyI didn’t really like the fact that the windows couldn’t open, the smell inside our room shared by six people was awful after just a few hours… The bathroom was okay, very very small and there was only cold water coming from the sink. Even though the staff was always nice and welcoming, most of the time there was no one at the reception and we had to ask the pizza guys most of the information that we needed and sometimes they couldn’t help us because they didn’t know
The locations is phenomenal, literally 2minutes walk to Temple bar! Other than that, I would say the structure is quite mediocre, me and my friend shared a bedroom with 4 other people, the roll was perfectly clean but the real problem was the temperature! Way too hot and since you couldn’t open the windows there was always an awful smell inside :/ The staff was very nice and always welcoming though!

SpainHorrible experience! When we entered the hostel we saw that it shared a landing with a pizzeria and they had the door open; everything smelled of the pizzeria and it was very unpleasant. In our room there was a landing and despite having a door with a password the guys from the pizzeria went inside to have their cigars and watch series at full volume during the night. The person we shared the room with spent the whole night going in and out of the room. In addition, one of the top bunk beds had a grille right next to it that opened onto the street through which cold air came in. The only "best thing" was the cleanliness of the sheets because the cleanliness of the room left a lot to be desired.
