Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IrelandThe bathroom sink could be bigger. There was no shelf to put toothbrush, etc. The toilet didn't have a cover! That didn't feel very hygienic while flushing. There was no toilet brush.
The hotel has an Italian restaurant (a bit pricey) at the top floor and the Stella Cinemas located in the basement. We didn't have time to try either, but it was nice to have the opportunity. At he ground floor there is a great cocktail bar and a small coffee shop at the entrance. The location is very good. Close the the Ranelagh Luas station. Staff was very helpful. They offered free prosecco. The room was small, but decorated so nicely. It had an acoustic guitar and amp in it! (But I never heard anyone playing guitar in other rooms) The wifi was very fast. I could easily work from my hotel room. Our favourite part was the shower. The bathroom was very spacious, and there was a rainfall shower with plenty of hot water. There were also heated mirrors.

United StatesOur double room was very small, the bed was against the wall like a camper bed, so that you had to crawl over the other person to get out of bed. And next time I would stay closer to the city center. It’s a ways away
It was fun and clean It was near my favorite pub with great music in Ireland. Smyths Upstairs restaurant looked great, but we didn’t try it

IrelandGorgeous hotel with everything that you need! I wish I stayed for longer in other to take advantage of the facilities. Staff was absolutely kind and lovely, hotel super clean and the location amazing. It might look slightly away from the city center but it's better to stay here, where is safe and truly clean than where you can get stabbed lol. You will not see any rough people lurking around the streets in this neighbourhood :) I fully recommend it!

SwitzerlandVery (positively) funky interior design of the common area and the rooms. The bathroom was exceptionally big. There is a public cinema in the basement and a ground floor bar/restaurant area. The hotel is reasonably well connected via tram

MalaysiaI think for the price, the room even though small could be better. There were no closets, only 3 hangers and a drawer under the bed. None of the usual bathroom amenities though there was a Dyson hairdryer, a clothes steamer, a kettle and coffee maker. But the walls are too thin! I could hear everything next door and even across the way! There were also unnecessary chocolates and junk food in the room.
The location was great, lots of restaurants and shops nearby. Also it was easy to go downtown as the LUAS ( tram) station was a short walk away. The staff were very helpful.

AustraliaThe rooms were very small considering the price.. We are over from Australia with 2 large suitcases, and struggled to navigate around the room with one open let alone two..
The facilities and the location were amazing! The staff were lovely and gracious and the hotel was very clean. We absolutely LOVED all the art around the hotel - ended up purchasing a piece from a local Dublin lady who we admired from the walls!!! We loved the suburb of Raneleigh and were stoked to be staying around here due to wedding activities! Lots of fun pubs, delicious food and coffee! Would be staying here again if we ever were in Dublin again.

United KingdomWe liked everything.
We had an amazing stay at The Devlin. We booked a small double which was compact but super comfortable. Everything was excellent quality, including dyson hairdryers. The shower was amazing and the beds were comfortable. All of the staff we met were incredibly helpful and welcoming and the hotel itself has a really trendy vibe.

United KingdomThere was NOT one thing we "did not like". We loved the hotel, the staff and the facilities.
This was a last minute booking and we were coming to watch the rugby at the AVIVA stadium. As suggested on the website, we telephoned to enquire about parking for the hotel and the advance information provided was so helpful. The check in was speedy and the ambiance was welcoming, friendly and top class. The hotel was full of small surprises, which make you smile, for instance, even the lifts are lovely, with the brass interiors. The room we booked was, as it said in the description, "small" but perfectly adequate. Everything was just that little bit different and the attention to detail was so lovely. The character 'old style' fridge, which was well stocked, the 'old style' radio, the 'old style' telephone, were all lovely and interesting touches; the drawer left open to show where the hair drier etc were stored, the toiletries supplied, the large towel selection, the room and general hotel décor all made the accommodation first class. We did not have time to try it but the available cinema on site is a lovely, unique feature too, We returned late and the night staff were fantastic, being both friendly and very professional. We had a couple of 'resident' drinks and Daniel, the night staff supervisor/manager, was so attentive and continued to provide us with an exceptional experience at this hotel. The lovely experience even continued as we checked out. Tina, on reception, was so friendly, genuine and professional, checking if we were happy with our stay and even offering, take-away or sit-in, complimentary tea/coffee before we left. This is not just another hotel, it was an amazing experience, and we will definitely be back.
