The room was not what I expected, small and the walls very thin. I could hear people's phones going off all night. And the people next door arguing.

The location was amazing, right beside the Sleive League cliffs. The staff were lovely and very helpful

The meal choices were limited but the atmosphere in the pub compensated for the choices.

The ideal accommodation for a visit to the cliffs in Teelin, especially for tourists who want to experience the 100+ yr pub with nightly live music but still have comfortable clean newly done rooms with excellent showers.

The rooms. Although very clean, they were very small and we felt slightly claustrophobic. The lack of windows made it feel very small also.

Beautiful property. Bar was so cosy & welcoming, with the friendliest staff. The food and breakfast was absolutely delicious

The rooms at The Rusty Mackerel were, compact but clean and modern. The food was excellent, included breakfast but we also ate here both nights of our stay. Both nights also had great music, the craic was 90. Loved it. Would definitely return.

Due to a medical condition, were sensitive to background noise on the night we stayed from dogs in the neighbourhood and within the cabins area (like an alarm), but not enough to comment on to staff.

The Rusty Mackerel was lovely and customers were having a great time on arrival. Plenty of parking. Two big rooms with comfy bed, impressed with the bathroom adapted for abilities and a good ventilation/heating system. Live music on Monday. Great evening meal and breakfast (for an additional fee). Had a lovely walk to the harbour on the evening and the boat trip (external local provider) the next morning around the cliffs was exceptional. Had also received a friendly welcome coming into Teelin the night before from shop/bar en-route where we used their facilities.

Nothing...improvement works ouside our cabin at 9am were not forewarned but necessary.

Caring and professional staff and the quality of the food are definitely the highlights of the Rusty....its location overlooking the mountains and near Carrick, Teelin pier and Sliabh Liag makes it a destination to remember..and highly recommend

Since the pod pre-fab rooms were an add-on to the pub, there was no sense of who was in charge or where to go if there was a problem - like water temperature or alarms going off in the middle of the night. In the pub, food service was not good - inexperienced but well-meaning. The room was somewhat cell-like with one high window that we couldn't see out of.

The pub was charming though crowded into small rooms as per Irish tradition. Accommodation is definitely an add-on rather than the primary business The bedrooms behind the pub were o.k. Beds were comfortable and the decor was fresh and clean. I am glad that we stayed here, but visitors shouldn't expect a cosy place to hang out. The food was good.

The rooms were bright modern and spotless but the space was very tight. Fine for a very short stay. No chair one locker and one side of the bed right up to the side of the wardrobe. The staff in the restaurant were efficient but not at all friendly.

The pub was lovely great atmosphere. The food was excellent.

Not always easy to get a seat in the Bar. Not sure about the Beer Garden. Didn't eat in there because it was too cold. In June. Maybe on a hot day.
