Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

United StatesInformation in bookings website about the property to my best understanding is wrong and misleading. My room was in a building across the street from hotel reception and breakfast area. My room was on 3rd floor, 4th level from ground level, hotel has no elevators. Stairs were narrow and old, covered with old stained fluffy rugs. Power outlets in the room not near bed night stand table. Breakfast is mediocre to not good. No amenities at all. Hotel is just barely a 3 stars hotel. Too pricy for the value. I won’t be back at this hotel and do not recommend it. There are plenty of better options in Dublin. I am disappointed with bookings website information for misleading.
really good location, room size and nice staff people.

United StatesTo their credit, they did describe it as a “small double”…but I didn’t expect it to be the size of a child’s bedroom. Almost zero space to store luggage, navigate around the bed…tiny bathroom. Small to the point of being uncomfortable. Also 63 steps up to the room. DEFINITELY pay the money for a larger room.
Nice staff. Excellent location. Very clean and nice amenities in the room. Breakfast provided.

United KingdomWe were staying in a ‘comfy’ room. It was really small and lacked any storage space. I’d recommend a few hooks around the room, back of the door for coats etc would have been really useful. We were there for 2 nights and had one hanger each in the hanging space!
Great location and really good breakfast

AustraliaVery expensive for what you get. Very small room with nothing special about it. Very comfortable but pretty generic. There’s no common space or bar or lounge or anything so you don’t get any sense of staying in a lovely old townhouse, just grey carpeted stairs and a tiny boring room, well with a nice window! Very overpriced for that, paying for location I guess which is fair enough, breakfast ok.
Staff were very good. Comfortable and great central location.

IrelandThere seemed to be no manager , a senior member of staff to deal with a complaint or an issue such as the one I’ve mentioned.
There was an incident in the breakfast room between staff members. A particularly rude man who seemed to be kitchen staff, was ver rude to another female staff it was very unpleasant and ruined the relaxed stay we had planned for.

United StatesThe room smelled musty and there were no other rooms available the 1st night. This was the end of a two-week trip in Europe and we were only back in Dublin for 2 nights so we decided not to deal with the hassle of repacking & switching on the 2nd day since we were going on a full day tour out of town the next day. I try to avoid rooms that smell like that since I'm asthmatic so couldn't wait to leave. I think they may need to replace all the carpet. Also, there's no elevator and we were on the 4th floor. If the rest of the rooms are better, there should be a discount for anyone who ends up in this one. Definitely not worth what we paid. We stayed at a better hotel that cost 2/3 of this one, in a great location nearby (near Grafton St) at the beginning of our trip two weeks before. I had wanted to stay slightly closer to our tour pick-up spot this time but was not a great choice.
The location is amazing, the beds are super comfortable, the room was spotless and very luxurious, and there was very little street noise since it's on a side street that dead ends at Trinity College. The breakfast was also very good.

United StatesThe electrical outlets and the internet. I spent hours in our room trying to get my computer to work and log onto your internet. I even took my computer down to the front desk & asked the guy to help me. He said my computer was the problem. I do a blog and this was a real issue for me, plus a total time waster. I am now writing you on my computer from Galway, on the hotel's internet and it is working perfectly. I think your outlets are outdated and it screwed up my computer and I never was able to log onto your internet. Sorry, but I can't recommend your hotel as a result, for my friends would need to be on your internet on the computer.
The staff was great, expecially the woman at the front desk in the mornings that helped us get taxis. The room was wonderful. The breakfast was delicious. The location was perfect.

United StatesThe rooms. Our first was a basement room with a light well with very little light and we felt claustrophobic. We asked to be moved for the remaining nights and Isaak was very helpful. The last room (1 night after trip to Kerry) was very attractive, dingy and needed to be upgraded. Buyer beware of the lovely owner photos and be prepared to schlep your luggage up and down stairs (no lift).
The Staff! The staff were very polite, helpful and accommodating.

United StatesThe “deluxe” room was on the top floor and required hiking up five flights of stairs. It was awful. The room was extremely small and although the bed was comfortable, the bathroom had a low angled ceiling and we couldn’t even see ourselves in the mirror. Very disappointing room. Definitely not “deluxe”.

CanadaWe had apparently their best room on the second floor. This room is directly above the front entrance. Whenever someone entered the property the door would slam loudly, literally shaking the floor. OK during the day but at 3:30 am not very pleasant. They need to slow the door closer. Also, not a very quiet room generally. Traffic noise was quite noticeable.
Breakfast was a la carte with few choices but what we had was good Good location in regards to Grafton Street and the College
