The place is ‘tired’, Way overpriced for what you receive. The rooms are very small. Your paying for two small hot tubs, and a steam room… That wasn’t even hot one day. And the pool isn’t heated! Very poor signage to identify the property and to direct you to the check-in desk. I would not recommend it…

We stayed in the more expensive river view rooms- the king bed was two rock hard singles, not zip-ups, just pushed together. The toilet was overflowing into the bowl, it's impossible for housekeeping not to notice something like that and unacceptable to be kept awake by at this price. The shower (and actually most of the room) needed a good clean and the TV didn't work properly. The large windows to the patio are old and ill fitting so we slept in a constant draft. Iceland has far better places to stay for far less.

The location, and they have nice coffee machines in the rooms. Parking is right outside and the town has lots of places to eat.

This room we had was nothing like the picutures......for the price I paid, over $700 USD for one night. Had to pull a curtain over the front door, it is extremely dated. I feel like it was a bait and switch, room was sub par, maybe worth $150 a night. Total rip off

The furnishings were tired and could use updating. The shower doors were impossible to open without getting water on the floor of the small bathroom.

We traveled with our family. The family room was fine for the children & 2 adults. The pool was too cold, however, they enjoyed the hot tub. The breakfast was good.

There is no "lobby" to hang out in, The room was very small. there were 30 to 40 mile per hour winds which made it difficult to be outside at all in that location.

The room was so cramped and small for the extortionate price we paid. Everything was tatty -the outside especially . View of the car park and people constantly walking past the window. Pool not in use. Hot tub dirty. Very very misleading description and photos on the website

Room was tiny and right next to the carpark, so no privacy and people walked by and looked in all the time. Property was disappointing and not boutuque standard. Swimming pool was out if action.

The rooms definitely need a renovation! Especially for this high price I would expect a clean room and not a stained bed sheet. The lamp on one bed side was broken and the soap dispenser in the bathroom was broken. Lamp has been repaired after I informed the reception. The room has no space at all where you could place even a small piece of clothes, socks,... So everything needs to stay in your suitcase, which you can place on the floor to open. Even a small foldable luggage stand would be benefitial here. The door lock is very 'unusual', and we were not able to open our door the first evening.

Location is great, surroundings with the river view are very nice. The breakfast is very good, also offers hot options. The hot tub was nice. The property seems not only 'a bit outdated', but it definitely needs repairs and an update. Only the restaurant was well maintained, but according to the prices for this restaurant, this is a prereq.

The infrastructure just makes it feel a bit cheap. It could be so great, but it kind of felt like a step above camping with the quality of the facilities.

This hotel has a lot of potential - in a really dramatic setting and very nice to be next to the river. The staff are very friendly and the food was nice.

I had a larger shower on the cruise ship. The bathroom was tiny and didn’t have places to hang things or place toiletries on a bench. The shower water pressure was very weak. The room was very small and not private. People walking past on the verandah could look right into our room. The hotel is very tired looking and looks nothing like the photos on the website. The price is way too high for the quality of room. I do not recommend this hotel at all.

Room: insufficient space to hang clothes, towels etc, specially when when - a few extra hooks and coat-hangers would have helped enormously. No drying room for wet clothes/boots etc Restaurant: Menu choice very limited, so that people staying more than one night need to repeat dishes. Orange juice ran out at breakfast on our first day, and wasn't available on the second morning. This is potentially an excellent hotel, but seemed slightly run down and undermanaged - I wonder whether it has been hit very hard by the pandemic.

First of all I think that we got the worst room in our category and it wasn't fair. It was only side river view instead of river view. Our tarrase was a communication path for gueast and for a staff so no way to have a peace and intimacy. Additionally a tarrace was broken and it was a fear to stand on that. Plus: a staff allowed us to use a grass next to tarrace, hovever it was next to kitchen and it wasn't confortable. Secondly everything at this hotel should be improved. Windows and doors in very poor condition, rooms weakly equipped however a bathroom was good. There is disorder around, you dont have a feeling that at the holet is cleanly. Storage rooms and washing room are next to the wellness area, gueasts see a mess inside and a staff walking with a dirty laundry. Breakfast is very poor. Generally all below the standard of hotel 3* and a website and presented offer doesn't compliance to a reality. Completely below an expectation and not worth of a price.

Great location. Nice staff. Excellent swimming pools and hot tubes. There is sauna too, but be carefull - there is a glass and stone inside so you can burn yourself and there is only hot water in the shower next to sauna. It was suprising for me. Unfortunately hotel has a great untapped potential.

I can’t imagine anything that could improve it.

This was my favorite hotel during our 3 week trip to Iceland. I loved the setting on a beautiful rushing River. I loved the hot tubs and the sauna and pool. I loved the breakfast with so much variety, in a quiet, lovely breakfast room all made of glass. We had a lovely dinner I. That same dining room one night. The food was delicious, the staff was friendly, and attentive. Everything was just perfect.

Desperately needs maintenance done, the buildings look unfinished, gardens have weeds all through them. We had a gross cup full of old cigarettes still on our mouldy balcony. Pictures in the ad don’t reflect what is there, a pit of photoshopping
