The common area is spacious, with a bathroom on both the upper and lower floors, but only the upstairs one has a shower. While eating in the dining room, you can look out the window directly onto the beach, which lifts your mood.

Only one shower and 2 toilets. The steps up to the shower are very narrow and need care when taking them.

Clean place that we had to ourselves (off-season). Easy check-in Decent kitchen and lots of seating (though I expect it gets crowded).

The floor of our room was a bit dirty and dusty. The doors of the shower didn’t close well, fortunately we didn’t wet the floor. In addition, there weren’t many places where to put towels, bathrobes and clothes since there was no wardrobe.

The guesthouse has a self-service check-in and out and it was very convenient. The room was small, like most rooms in Iceland, was heated and they provided us towels and sheets. We shared the bathroom with other guests but they were nice and we didn’t have any problem. The bathroom was quite big. We stayed there one night and overall it was a nice experience. From the window of our room we were able to see the northern lights!

I missed an espresso making machine

I had the possibility to make my own breakfast and every meal. With almost all the facilities: microwave, ovnen, waterboling, etc. Clean, warm, nice place inside and outside.

Room we had (on main floor) was quite cramped- only space for 2 beds and a small set of drawers we could put 1 suitcase on. Rest of our things had to be on the floor and we had to carefully navigate the room. One shower and 2 toilets between 5 rooms could be problematic in some situations. We didn’t have a problem accessing the toilet on our floor and we chose to shower midday so didn’t have any competition. Nearest restaurants are 10 min away. this was clear on the website- not a surprise- but would have been nice to have something in town.

Check in process went smoothly, bed was comfortable. Location was convenient for national park and hostel was located in a very small peaceful town. Our room had partial view of the coast. We didn’t have any issues with noise. We didn’t have any issues with availability of bathrooms.

The place could have been cleaner and one kitchen and one shower is insufficient when the house is full. We had to wait quite a long time for our turn to cook

Great location and great view from room n 5. This room was quite spacious. The house seems well maintained. The village is charming.

The stairs are very steep - for an ‘old chook’ - go slowly and hang onto the rail. Or ask for a downstairs room 🙂 There is a sign warning you that they are steep. End of the lock knob in the bathroom was missing, I thought I’d locked myself in but I managed to turn it. Only one very soft pillow.

Lock box check in is great. Very tidy and clean and comfortable beds. Downstairs is a shared well equipped kitchen and a comfortable lounge/dining room. Outside tables and seats with a mountain view. Shared bathroom was clean and the shower was good but don’t turn the cold tap the wrong way or the top shower head comes on and you get a cold surprise!

Bring food as it’s several kilometres to nearest store or cafe.

Such a quiet spot in the middle of the tern colony. We stayed in a spacious twin room right next to the bathroom. Lovely modern powerful shower. Like staying in someone’s home - very comfy lounge area and kitchen had everything - full cooker/oven, microwave, fridges, coffee percolator, kettle. Keys by key safe so easy self check in.
