Loved the views from the room and we were lucky to go on a relatively empty/quiet night- felt like we had the top floor and shared bathroom to ourselves! Also, a great breakfast! I could see this being a good stay for families and groups.

Lots of room. Great common area with tables, TV, couches. Refrigerator and microwave available. Breakfast was great. Lox, shrimp and tuna salads in addition to traditional Icelandic breakfast. Hosts are very friendly.

Our stay at Bitra B&B was absolutely wonderful even though we were only there for one night. The rooms were spotless, comfortable, and cozy. There were some lounge areas where my mother and I enjoyed relaxing and dinner we brought with us. We were able to make hot drinks when we arrived, including coffee, tea and hot chocolate. After dinner, I had an incredible, hot shower. The water pressure was immaculate! The bathrooms were very clean as well. In the morning, we enjoyed a thorough, delicious breakfast with cold cuts, baked goods and bread, cereal, yogurt, fruits, granola, and other sandwich ingredients. Very sad we had to depart so early on, but we will 100% be back in the future!

The property is on the outskirts of Selfoss and there are no kitchen facilities.

The property was very clean, comfortable and well equipped. The host was very welcoming and thoughtful, providing you with tea, coffee and slippers. They serve a fulfilling and vast breakfast too.

It was a bit tricky to find the driveway entrance in the dark.

Very clean room and ensuite shower. A nice lounge area for relaxing and reading and there was a microwave and kettle for guests to use. Breakfast was plentiful and varied. The staff were all friendly and helpful. I would gladly return.

This guesthouse was very good. The hostess was super friendly and helpful, the room was great, beds were good and we had a view on the valley towards the north, so we could see the sunrise. There was a great living room with lots of games, books, two couches and a TV that even had Netflix on it. The breakfast was super varied and tasted delicious. We really enjoyed it here. Would highly recommend a stay here on a road-trip trough the south of Iceland!

The guesthouse provided an exeptional experience with its helpful staff and enjoyable amenities. The owners gave us some nice recommendations.The bathrooms as well as the room was/were very clean. The breakfast, featuring local and fresh ingredients, was a highlight. Additionally, the unique feature of being able to view the aurora directly from the property added a special touch to the stay. Recommended for those seeking a comfortable and memorable experience.

I recently stayed at Bitra Guesthouse and was very pleased with my experience. The guesthouse is clean, comfortable, and well-maintained. The staff is VERY friendly and helpful. The hosts were amazing. This was my first guesthouse experience and it exceeded my expectations. We got there and it was already dark. We noticed that the northern lights could be out and the hosts did whatever they could to help us see them. It was great! We were the only 2 people booked for the night but when we woke up there was this massive and delicious breakfast. I was astounded by all the different kinds of food they offered. I would stay here all nights if we weren’t going to drive around Iceland.
