We remember the highlight of freshly made scrumptious waffles for breakfast at our earlier stay and were sad to discover they were no longer offered.

Second time staying at this hotel - the first time it was still under construction, but that did not get in the way of a great experience. This time again we had a room with a beautiful view, it was comfortable, very clean, the staff attentive and friendly, dinner was very tasty. Hoping we will have yet another chance to stay sometime later, and that we will remain very satisfied.

The facility was AMAZING! Way exceeded our expectations. Clean, quiet, had all three rooms together. We have struggled since getting here finding breakfasts that weren't just pastries. What a pleasure to have soeculialty coffees, fruit and eggs!! You never know what you're going to get based on internet pictures! But this did NOT disappoint!

The front desk lady went out of her way to help us eat something as we reached here late in the evening as everything was closed. Breakfast was excellent and the rooms were in a serene location and very reasonably priced. The hotel is near the main attractions of Golden Circle.

Hotel Gullfoss was fabulous! We loved the room, beds and the location. It is very close to the Gullfoss falls, Geysir and Thingvillar. We had a great stay. Highly recommend.

The rooms were a bit warm.

The location is perfect for visiting all sites on the Golden Circle. The views from the hotel are exceptional and the area is quiet and peaceful even though it is located near such popular attractions as Geysir and Gulfoss. The breakfast buffet was astounding, everything you could want. Dinner was also delicious.

The bathroom was ridiculously small, a major mistake for a recently designed addition, so small that the shower had two folding doors, neither of which could be opened without hitting something. Strangely, for such a windy place, a single door without an airlock led into the reception area.

Gullfoss Hotel is perfectly placed in a rural setting on the Golden Circle (not really a circle) between the Gullfoss Falls and Geysir. The hotel has about 30 rooms, ours facing an escarpment and farmland, half of which are in a newer wing. The room was spacious and modern. The hotel has a good restaurant where breakfast is served but no other facilities. Breakfast was included and was good. Parking was just outside reception. A rough walking trail, 3km, to Gullfoss ran along the river gorge, doubling as a bridle trail.

I like everything about this hotel. It is convenient but quiet. It is only few minutes away from the attractions. The room is spacious and clean. The hotel has a restaurant which is so convenient as there is no other food market or restaurants near by.

Lovely hotel, spacious enough rooms for an Icelandic hotel (the bathroom was actually huge!). Really tasty food in a nice dining room. Obviously very close to the waterfall, so you can pop down before the tour bus hordes arrive. We had them to ourselves

The hotel was exceptionally clean and everything looked lovely. We had dinner in the restaurant which was wonderful and very well priced. The breakfast which was included in our room rate was by far the best breakfast we had in the whole of Iceland. The staff were super helpful and we even had to rearrange due to a cancelled flight and they sorted everything at no extra cost. Cannot rate this high enough.

The bathroom fan made a rattling sound when it was on (which came on when you turned on the light) but didn’t really bother us too much.

Great location. We covered the Golden Circle and ended at Gullfoss waterfall in the evening so it was convenient to drive a very short distance to the hotel after a long day. Beautiful surrounding (can go for a light walk around the hotel).
