There is absolutely nothing we did not like about our stay in Hotel Gulfoss.

The very best part of Hotel Gulfoss, is the wonderful, courteous and professional staff - all the staff were helpful and a delight to be with! Our room, the dining area and the entire hotel was incredibly clean and well taken care of. The dining area for breakfast and dinner was absolutely wonderful. We had a fantastic view of the NOrthern Lights and the Hotel Gulfoss is a VERY short drive to the spectacular Gulfoss waterfall.

Not enough power points or usb charging for a modern hotel. No shampoo & conditioner.

Clean, comfortable, great fresh produce for their meals in their restaurant. Location is great to start the next day after seeing Gulfoss. Kettle, mugs, tea, coffee, sugar, fridge are available in room. Good options for breakfast.

I found the restaraunt to be a bit pricey even for Iceland although it was delicious and well presented

5 minutes from Gulfoss waterfall so useful if this is at the start/end of one of your days itineries. Close to geysers too. Breakfast is great, wide selection of different fresh foods. Rooms are large, shower is great. Free parking.

Nothing really it was all very pleasant. If storms are forecast take ear plugs - our room window (115) took a very noisy battering from the lashing rain & wind, which unfortunately did keep me awake.

The hotel staff were very welcoming and friendly. A pleasant room with tea & coffee facilities and a mini fridge. The food in the restaurant was very tasty and a good selection of spirits at the bar.

Luckily we hired a car as you are literally in the middle of nowhere so you would need to get some sort of transport to go anywhere (not the hotels fault but just a tip).

The hotel was on its own right near the Gullfos waterfall which was spectacular. You really felt like it was in the countryside. Our highlight was the breakfast, there were so many options and it was very fresh and lovely - specially sitting by the window looking at the countryside view.

Beds were uncomfortable and limited cupboard/ storage space. Food choice for evening meal was limited ( Al a carte) .

Location to Gullfoss Falls and Geyser. Rooms were clean, tidy and warm. Friendly staff. Quality of food was excellent although choice was very limited.

No northern lights wake up call available. Breakfast had no hot options

Location was perfect for northern lights! We had an amazing show around 2am on the hotel parking lot. Lasted for like an hour. Super close to Gullfoss waterfall and Geysir.

We stayed here on a trip in November around the golden circle and it was a perfect spot. Both the location and the hotel itself were great. The location was superb for visiting sites but also remote enough to see the stars and northern lights. (And bonus that when the northern lights happened the manager came to tell us). The restaurant food was delicious and breakfast in the morning was generous. Cosy and comfortable rooms

Excellent hotel in a great location. It is literally 2 mins drive from the waterfall and we’ll positioned for visiting Geysir. Comfortable and clean room with a smallish bathroom but perfectly adequate. Breakfast was basic continental but enough to choose from.
