One of the mattresses was uncomfortable (we booked 2 rooms) but the other was beautifully comfortable. We were lucky to have other quiet considerate people staying as we were all sharing the same place, I guess inconsiderate loud guests could have affected our stay.

We were made very welcome and shown around pointing out towels we could borrow if we needed to take them out, fresh coffee we could use and spotless bathrooms. It is set in the countryside and was a great base for visiting lots of wonderful places. We felt very much at home there, thank you

room is kinda small for what we paid for but it's a great location to the tomato farm, hot spring and the national park. can't really complain.

some basic breakfast such as jam, bread & cereal etc are available in the morning but nothing fancy. the host was there to greet everyone during check in time who also gave travel tips as a local.

It was all great :) An oyster catcher was guarding two eggs directly in the driveway which i did not like since i felt sorry for the little bird. So keep a look out when approaching ;)

The place was very clean and the owners were exceptionally helpful and friendly to us the entire four night stay. The kitchen was the best equipped compared to other hostels, guesthouses and apartments we visited on our 3 week trip in iceland. The breakfast also featured the most variety compared to other places we stayed. There are two different thermal pools close by and the main attractions of the golden circle are also very close. Of course the size of the room corresponds with the price you pay. But other than that you get exceptional value for your money. For people with more time on their hands there is plenty of beauty to be found on the property of the Bed and Breakfast itself (see pictures). Just ask the more than helpful hosts (Silke and Stefan) for directions.

This my preferred solution for vacation: large house with separated bedrooms, but shared kitchen and living room Here is a perfect example, you have all you need to cook, and we enjoyed a lot discussing with other guests. Very quite place and very nice host as well

The owner is very responsible and lives 2 min from the house snd he comes has soon as you ring the doorbell of the guesthouse and gives you all the required indication. Everybody has been respectfully of the other guests. The is six rooms. We liked our 1 night stay.

Very peaceful location with an adorable horse. The hosts are very organized and communication was clear. The room and common areas were clean, the kitchen was large and well stocked with utensils. Love the posters and pictures hung on all the walls too!

Beautiful location, cute dog. Room and amenities just as advertised. Nice little details like book exchange and informational posters on Icelandic nature in common spaces. Quick and easy check-in. Very good value for money since basic breakfast ingredients are also provided.

Several pots and pans were not in good condition. Everything we cooked were sticking and burning on the pans. It was very hard to get food out of the pan and also to clean them. Would be great if the owner replaces them with new ones.

Lovely place in a quiet and secluded location close to two hot springs and the golden circle route. The kitchen is well-equipped for cooking, and the abundant self-service breakfast is great. Clean, comfortable beds, the hand towels in the shared bathrooms are a lovely touch. Friendly hosts.

Rooms are small and very close to one another. There is not much space, it was full of people and it was a bit difficult to move around in the kitchen, sit relax and have diner. Also lots of noise, everyone is talking etc. There was almost no breakfast (unless other guests ate everything 🤣). It is expected of course, you get what you pay. Just Keep those things in mind. Other than that all gold.

I like the price! The cheapest room we booked in Iceland. The girl that greeted us was very friendly. It's like a mix of guest house and hostel. If you don't have much expectations you will be fine ☺️ Very nice beautiful farm location to have a short night rest. It has a kitchen, 2 shared bathrooms with hand soap, shower and big parking space outside. Easy access, check in. Room was warm. Clean sheets and towels. For a short budget friendly stay in a warm place, close to points of interest I do recommend it!

It was close to some of the big sightings like Gullfoss and Geysir. So much more to see around as well within 2 hour drive. It was really clean and the room was nice. The breakfast had all we needed. Also toilet and kitchen was clean. The weather is very nice in fluðir

Due to a family crisis, I didn't make it to Iceland this time, but my friend stayed here and sent this for the review "Skyggnir was good! It was not high class but a little more old fashioned. However, it was comfortable, very well organized and tidy, very close to the hot springs. I greatly enjoyed meeting and chatting with other people from around the world there. It was a neat experience."

Fantastic hostel-like b&b in a great location on the Golden Circle! The room is small, but the common areas are very comfortable and have everything you could possibly need. Very friendly host as well! To top everything off, we saw the Northern lights from our bedroom window!! (see photo)
