The locks on the doors are SO LOUD. The old fashioned keys are cool and all but it seems like everyone was struggling to get their doors open and the walls are very thin. Also anytime my partner would open the door at night I would immediately wake up with how loud the door was.

Almost everything was great about our stay at Vík Hostel. The bedroom and kitchen came equipped with everything you might need in a hostel, the bathroom was clean and well maintained for the most part. All of the animals on the property were so sweet and fun to play with. The breakfast was really really good!

The room was getting too much noise. Even though every guest were warned as being quite after a certain time, due to the room being on the corridor, was getting very distracting from sleeping.

This facility exceeded my expectations. Its location provides phenomenal views and is extremely convenient. The owner/operator, Issa, goes out of her way to be accommodating. I highly recommend.

Staff isn't really there most of the time. For the amount of people staying there, two showers is a bit of a stretch. One of the toilets wouldn't lock, the door was too big for the frame and wouldn't close all the way

Price, location and deals with local restaurants were great. The shoe dryer was a huge plus. The included breakfast was delicious.

Towels were scratchy, being tall (6’) the blankets didn’t fully cover me, which was a little annoying. The space is pretty quiet, but they had something running in the reception area that drones and you can hear it from every room in the hostel.

Included breakfast and location were delightful and perfectly situated to explore Vik and the surrounding area.

Very nice place, typical hostel - no luxury but homey and comfortable. Common bathrooms, kitchen, dining and sitting area, all well equipped. Very comfy beds. Great breakfast in the restaurant next door. Lovely surroundings.

The room only contains 2 beds, no chairs, no hangers, no light next to the bed - these things would be good additions to the room. The floor in the room was quite dusty.

Nice hostel with decent facilities (kitchen, bathrooms) and a nice view onto the town and the ocean. The breakfast at the hotel nearby was tasty.

We stayed in a 4-bed room. The room was super small, not enough place for 4 suitcases. Be prepared for the "morning alarm" - roosters are in the garden just next to the hostel and they are super load.

The breakfast was really good, with fresh bread which was a nice surprise. Common kitchen and dinning area is nice and clean.

have stayed here twice, same room both times. looks like some renovations have been done since our last visit. great location, easy to find, quiet, facilities are great, kitchen available. A very nice and “typical” hostel environment.

It’s a super friendly place to be! Absolutely feels like home. Such a pity we couldn’t stay longer. There’s a big kitchen for guests to use, comfortable bed, clean bathroom, notes everywhere so it’s easy to understand the rules and other stuff.

There are not many bathrooms for all the guests and if you didn't have a shower at time there might be a long queue.

The breakfast was excellent and the place was very beautiful. You can play with the dogs they have outside! And the staff is also very kind.

I hope that the middle bathroom will be done with renovation soon. It would help since there are many rooms sharing bathrooms. But the one on our floor and downstairs were working well. :)

The breakfast was fantastic! So many choices for the price we paid. I have to commend Barbara who was so generous in giving my new discovery- cowberry milk! Yum!

The staff wasn’t there at all. i asked for a bottom bunk and didn’t get that. the people in my room snored loudly so I didn’t get much sleep at all. that isn’t the property’s fault of course. bring earplugs, though. there were not enough showers and bathrooms and they didn’t feel that clean. there were geese outside making noise during the night. i wish there was a bigger, warmer living room type area for travelers to gather in. all power went out at once. one person staying there did call the staff and they got it running again quickly but didn’t apologize or check on us at all. not having any staff there just doesn’t feel very welcoming.

The house is very cute and cozy. It’s in a good location. The breakfast was included (this is rare) and really delicious! plenty of vegetarian options!
