Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

FranceThe prices felt a little high for the overall quality of the room and bathroom.
The location was great, with plenty of good restaurants nearby and close to transit options.

GreeceBreakfast (Americano or Italiano) is outsourced in the café outside the building – I would have chosen another place for our breakfast, but it’s not bad. Would have been useful to have a cloth hanger/rack could be added on the wall, other than the existing closet.
A nice 3-night stay at Biancore B&B. The room was simple and rather small but we really did not need much more than that, walking around all day long. It’s very centrally located, just across Santa Maria Maggiore, and very close to the metro and train station - I was concerned with the area when booking, but we did not feel unsafe at any time of the day or night coming back to the room. Double glazing windows kept the street noise out. Staff is very kind and accommodating. They kept our luggage after our check-out until our departure. Also, it is worth noting that the building and the bathroom did not smell of any moisture or sewage, which is something that worries me when staying in old buildings. Location great. Cleanliness impeccable. Reception is not full-time staffed, but can be contacted by whatsapp/phone, if needed. They do reply very quickly.

United KingdomThe building and apartment itself are less appealing than they seemed from the photos and finding the apartment was really difficult from the instructions texted. Some signs outside and inside would be very helpful. It was too small for any chairs.
The location is ideal for enjoying the historic part of Rome.

United KingdomIt’s a shared building but the access is tired
The entrance was full of building material and it’s confusing where to go, the entrance and stair case to the 3rd floor isn’t very welcoming, nor is the reception but the rooms are nice and the location brilliant

RussiaA pleasant little hotel 5 minutes walk from Termini train station, but at the same time away from the hustle and bustle of the station. The rooms are clean with high ceilings, well equipped - there is a capsule coffee machine, mini fridge, floor air conditioning system. The view from the window to the neighboring streets. Cleaning every day. Breakfast is offered at Cafe Cotini with vouchers - from 8 to 9 it is an American breakfast with juice, scrambled eggs, bacon, salad and sweet jams, later - an Italian breakfast. The pleasant staff works at this hotel. The host is in touch with any questions that arise

BulgariaExcept in the mornings, communication with service staff is through the owner, which can sometimes be a slight problem. There was a power outage which was quickly fixed.
Excellent location. Within walking distance to almost all tourist attractions of Rome. Extremely friendly and welcoming staff. Cleanliness was at a good level.

United KingdomI think it does everything it promises and unless you are someone wanting to spend time (other than sleeping and washing) in the room then they have not much needs changing.
Located just a few minutes walk from the train station this is a great place to use as a base if you’re just wanting somewhere clean, comfortable and convenient with all the basics covered. We stayed in a family room with a double bed and a single bed, there was a tidy bathroom, wardrobe, chair, fridge and air conditioning unit. Also a very small TV but we didn’t use it. The staff were helpful and friendly and you get breakfast in a cafe next door included with your room rate. It’s located in an unmarked building so make sure you read the instructions properly or you will wander around for 20 mins looking for it (like we did, totally our own fault!).

United StatesOur room unfortunately stayed a bit warm - the AC didn’t seem to keep the room cool enough. It came out cold but it seemed like it didn’t stay cool? Also the bathroom ceiling had water / mildew issue that needs to be fixed as many people have allergies and immune issues.
The location, the staff were fantastic! Loved the fact that all our bathroom toiletries were stocked there for us. The small refrigerator items were complementary!!! Plus it had a little freezer section. The staff took care of our luggage & worked with our needs! We can only say they were very helpful and considerate!!! There were 7 of us in 3 different rooms.

United StatesThe difficulty with this hotel was the location of traveling to it. Once we figured out to to enter the building and got our bags inside, it was a perfect little hotel. There is an elevator, but it is small. It is a hotel within an apartment building set up, which is something I had not yet encountered.
The staff was willing to hold our luggage. Also, the breakfast vouchers were a plus. It was located right next to MSM which is a major tourist attraction in Rome. 5 minute walk from train.

United KingdomNo water in the apartment on arrival although this was fixed and was out of the control of the owner. Breakfast was included but was awful so we didn't bother after the first attempt. Maybe a coffee and croissant would do?
The location was great very close to the Termini which is great for the bus from the airport. It is also close to the colleseum. All in all it was great stay for our first time in Rome and I would book again. Lovely helpful people

United StatesThis is a functional, clean and a convenient location. The Termini is walkable from where you can take either the A or B line Metro’s or any bus. They provide a coupon to a Caffe downstairs which has an American breakfast after 8am and Italian breakfast starting 6:30am. Leo and Den were helpful. Generally, I don’t get a good sleep on hotel beds but, the mattress here was firm and comfortable. After a long day of walking tours and tired legs, a restful sleep is always a bonus. The property is on the opposite side of the Santa Maria Maggiore Basilica so, it was not as noisy. Many eating options around.
