Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.

AustraliaThe one small lift is very slow. Only 1 toilet in common area downstairs was out of order so we had to go up in the lift to use the bathroom.
Although simple and not flashy this small hotel has all the commonly needed facilities needed by any traveller. Its location is ideal. We stayed in room 502 - all 3 rooms on the 5th floor are newly renovated.

South Africathe aircon in the room did not work - it was 24 degrees and quiet hot in the room - i phone reception at 11pm to fix it and it was not fixed - i had to open the window to get cool air and then got all the road noise

United StatesI have no complaints. The only observation I offer is that it is one of the most expensive hotel rooms I’ve ever paid for, and it didn’t quite live up to the value for cost. I’m in the hotel business and I stay in the nicest hotels in the world. That said…Milano is an expensive city…I have no complaints.

I was traveling with my elderly mother who was a handful as she was making several requests of the staff including changing our room. The hotel staff were so kind, always smiling and willing to help. The customer service was exceptional. If there is only one reason to return, its because of the staff. Everyone from the manager, reception staff, breakfast staff, bar staff, cleaners, bellman...everyone was exceptional. You know a hotel is run well, when you get this level of service consistently. I can't thank the hotel staff enough for helping me to ensure a comfortable stay at Hotel Milano Scala for my mother.

FranceThe windows open to a long balcony that connects all the rooms to one another around a central courtyard. It is not a big deal but might affect a sense of privacy and security for some people, especially if you like to sleep with your window open.
The staff was adorable and really welcoming, which straight away makes a big difference when you arrive. The location is unbeatable, since you are really in the city center and at a walkable distance from everything really. Unfortunately I only staid for one night, so I did not really get to try everything, but the food from the room service was correct.
