How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

I didn’t have anything dislike.
The location wise, the first impression when entering the room space and most importantly all basic needs and amenities are available and convenient to us when in need! Can’t forget the kitchen sink and washing machine as well as the dryer in the bathroom are super super great as you do not need to bring so many clothes for longer travel in Japan.

Nothing to dislike
location is near to Ueno station just a walking distance.The apartment comes with a kitchen which is nice to cook some fresh seafood we bought at Ameyoko.It comes with washer and also a dryer in the bath area which I find it convenient to do our laundry don't need to bring our clothes to nearest cleaner.

A nice small hotel located on a quiet street near the main attractions of Ueno. Just a 5-minute walk from Ueno’s major train and metro hub, it made our trips around Tokyo and to the airport very convenient. The staff was very helpful. Although the hotel does not manage suitcase transportation to other cities, they took the time to prepare all the necessary documents for us, which we handed directly to the transporter. The room was well-equipped but relatively small for our group of two adults and two kids with all our luggage. However, small rooms are common in Tokyo.”

We didn't stay longer!
Everything was perfect. We will be back. Being from a different country, we are used to different beds but once you get used to the size it's like it's home.

It is conveniently located to Ueno station. We enjoyed other conveniences of cooking and doing laundry. There are 2 convenience stores and a market very nearby.

Have to manually bring the used towels for exchange, request for top up of toilet roll & throw trash at the lobby.
Very clean, super love the hot tub. Washing machine was helpful & bed was comfortable. Staff were wonderful & very attentive

Kitchen towels would have been useful. And better instructions to use the enclosed shower to dry laundry. Maybe I missed it. Took me a while to figure this out. The hotel is also doubles as an apartment complex, thus didn’t have the services one would expect from a full-service hotel. For me, that was not an issue.
A short walk to Ueno Station and Ueno Park. The room was rather spaceous for Japan. And, what really helped, was having a washing machine for laundry in the room. Staff was very helpful when asked for assistance.

- The room was big enough but the layout was weird. There was a kitchen but no table for you to dine or sit in the room I stayed. - Some staff speaks English very well, while another day you might meet another staff who can't speak English at all. But they are very friendly and helpful nonetheless.
- Great location. Quiet area, yet near to many restaurants and Ueno station. - Safe and quiet. - Fully equipped room.

Great location, near station, but quiet enough and a block or 2 away from the hustle and bustle. Room is small but comfortable and modern. Room was ready before check in, so was very grateful we could drop stuff in room before an afternoon in Tokyo. Left bags with hotel on day of check out until mid afternoon before train to airport. Very grateful for staff for providing that service.

At night I could hear several times sound of siren. Just wondered why & what actually happening??!
It`s a aparthotel with all necessary items that we need as a family. Just like a home. Close to the huge JR Ueno station and subways. Choose exit 3 or 2 of Hibiya/Ginza subway line. From JR Ueno, get to Asakusa exit and you`ll see a huge bridge to cross the main road. The bridge got lift and escalator as well. The hotel close to the escalator. The Ameyoko shopping street just about 2 min by crossing the main road. Since it is close to the Ueno station, so the Ueno park&zoo are just within walking distance. I love the location.

The room was extremely small. It states that it can fit four people but in reality it fits 2 adults and 2 small children. We were a party of 3 adults and 1 child and the beds were very small (a bit bigger than an extended twin). Also I would recommend with a space so small that the beds be changed to platform beds in order to accommodate luggage storage under the bed.
Location of the property was excellent. Very near shopping, dining and most importantly the train station. The facility was very easy to find and extremely clean. Overall we enjoyed our stay.

Location can be a little noisy on a busy night or morning, though only one out of the six we stayed was really noticeable. The design and being next to another high building meant that there was limited natural light getting in - started to miss that after a few days!
Location is amazing for travel around Tokyo and food options. Supermarket and Asakusa within 10-20 minutes walking distance. Although compact, the apartment has everything you need.

A great spot close to thriving Ueno, but far enough away from the bustle and noise to be able to relax. The facilities were great. Clean and comfortable. Perfect for our young family of 4. Staff was friendly and helpful.
