Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

New ZealandBreakfast and check in was a bit chaotic with people. The location was also bit dodgy. Whilst it was close to tourist shops and activities, it was also right near dodgy streets with night clubs and bars that you needed to walk through to get anywhere. Wouldn't recommend it for families or solo women travellers
Room was clean and quiet. Bed and pillows were comfy. Room was small but there was enough room for a short stay. Hotel amenities were great, onsen pool was lovely.

IsraelGreat location The room was too small. We knew it in advance, so we were not disappointed, but it is not comfortable. The staff is great, the room is clean. We didn't use the breakfast. We recommend but be aware about the room size.

TurkeyI was not happy with the breakfast restaurant venue (too small and crowded) and the food served; no cheese or European additions. There were 3 APA hotels in that region and taxi drivers mixed up the place.

ChileI had a food poisoning and the staff helped me to get to the hospital. This was super nice. The room was small but enough, as I only returned to sleep after my days walking around Tokyo.

RomaniaThe room was very cold when we arrived (13 °C) and the central heating could not warm up the room thoroughly, so we needed to get a portable heater from reception, which we used every night to get the room warm. We didn't need to use it through the night though, just a couple of hours once we got in the room in the evening.
The location is very close to subway access, restaurants and cafes, as well as some popular attractions. It was a breeze to travel around the city from this location. The room, although small, was highly optimized and we felt very comfortable. Everything was clean, we had every amenity we needed in the room. The staff was amazing, supportive, kind and helpful.

AustraliaWas difficult to open suitcases and I had put my laundry through the dryer 3 times (total 270 mins) for it to dry.
Loved the facilities and staff. It was great having all our amenities restocked every day and the home page on the TV was full of useful information about the hotel and surrounding areas. Close to lots of train stations.

CanadaA bit far from a metro but still walkable.
We booked the deluxe twin with a view and had a very good sized room for Tokyo. The price was very reasonable, under 26000 ¥ per night. We were in the west tower, which was very close. The public baths were in the other building, but it wasn’t a problem to go over in our yukata’s. The public bath is the smallest I’ve been at in Japan, but it did have a small outdoor area. The location was a bit far from the metro but easy still walking distance. It was very quiet and the bed was very comfortable, probably the most comfortable we’ve had in 3 weeks. Lots of convenience stores and eating opportunities right outside the doors. I would stay here again.

CanadaNoisy (other guests talking loudly in the corridor in the middle of the night), minimal staff. We knew the rooms were tiny, but I'll also list it here.
Stay was ok. It is well located regarding subways and all, but you are in a vibrant nightlife area.

AustraliaThe check-in was really busy even though we arrived hours past when they said their busy check-in time. We were sort of ushered to a check-in kiosk but it wasn't very clear what was going on or what to do.
Great location and good-sized rooms for Japan - amazingly comfortable bed! We'd definitely stay again.

United KingdomLobby gets very busy especially at check in and you need to cross it to get to lifts etc.
The views of the city were fantastic. Breakfast was very good, with helpful friendly staff. We had a meal in the restaurant on our first night and the chefs were excellent. Very friendly and the food was amazing! Rooms (as always with APA) were very clean with ever you could need.

SingaporeThe check-in gets very crowded - little to no space in the lobby to wait or sit around. They are fairly strict about checking-in early (only at 3pm, early check-ins are chargeable) and checking-out late (late checkouts beyond 10am incur a fee).
Good Location - it is opposite Kabukicho and also a walking distance to Shinjuku. Short walk to the Bus Terminal to take buses (do book and pay online beforehand) to Haneda & Narita Airport. Rooms were cosy and comfortable, even though small (though the size is typical for hotel rooms in Tokyo).
