The same issue as my last stay in Tokyo, the pillows are too firm. Super uncomfortable.

My second stay on an APA hotel this week, same amenities which O appreciate. Location was excellent.

The room is a bit small but comfortable. No closet or drawers for clothes. Bathroom is a bit tight.

Proximity to Kyoto Station, restaurants, attractions was great. Cleanliness of hotel and room is very good.

I learned after our trip that APA hotels are owned by right wing extremists and they leave propaganda literature in the rooms. Do with that what you will.

This hotel is a short walk from Kyoto station, which is the main reason we chose it. Rooms were pretty large for an APA hotel. Check in and check out are easy here.

The number of laundry machines (dryer and washer) are too little compared to the number of guests, so we had to wait for hours before we can complete our laundry

Extremely high room temperature that I could not control, unable to open windows, no fan available. Only reaction from staff was "sorry", with a smile and a bow. It took an entire afternoon, including offering to pay for a floor-standing fan and explaining the health hazard, to have them bring in a fan. During those 3 hours, i witnessed two other guests complain of the heat (and other room issues). Waste of an entire afternoon and evening. I will not be returning unless they fix the ridiculous policy of switching from cooling to heating the entire hotel on a particular date, irrespective of the weather at the time!

The hotel location is just perfect with the train station is just less than a 5 minutes walk, and Yodobashi is just a block away.

Though small, there was an indoor and outdoor onsen. The hotel was clean and the checkin and luggage storage system was very efficient.

Street noise was more than expected. The hotel has excellent soundproofing but when motor bike riders go past at 2 am , not much will stop that noise .

It’s very close to Kyoto station and there are plenty of places to eat at nearby. The bed is an Australian queen size bed and is very high off the ground which gives you somewhere to put your luggage . It’s a large room by Japanese standards. The onsite onsen was fantastic . The check in procedure is very quick . It does get very busy in the lifts between 9-1030 am so be prepared to wait . The laundry is easy to use but the dryer takes 90 minutes for a medium load ( including jeans ) .

The hotel provided only 2 water bottles for 3 nights. It will be the best for provide 2 bottles every day.

The best thing of APA is the location and facility provide in the room and in the hotel such as onsen. Moreover, hotel staffs are very nice and helpful. See you APA for next trip to Japan.

Very close to the station, easily wheeled our luggage there. Nice room with all the usual APA hotel things. Washer-dryer machines available near entrance to onsen (need coins, detergent adds automatically). Discovered an extra machine inside the female onsen — super handy as another guest was using all of the general area machines at once. Washed my clothes while I had a bath, winning!

There is central heating and air so we were unable to control the comfort level in the room.

The hotel is just a few minutes away from the JR line. They have a laundry facility which was super convenient since it rained during the late afternoon and night so being able wash and dry our clothes was very helpful. The bed was very soft and comfortable.
