Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

IndonesiaThe breakfast area is quite small, but there are plenty of alternative options near the station. The rooms are small too, though that’s typical for Japan. Early check-in wasn’t accommodated without an extra charge—a small complimentary gesture for early arrivals would have been appreciated.
The rooms are small, but this is typical and generally acceptable by Japanese hotel standards. The staff are friendly and helpful—they even handle package deliveries smoothly, which is very convenient. The hotel provides a laundromat, but there are only two machines, so you may need to wait if the hotel is fully booked. The location is excellent—just a short walk from the nearby station. There are convenience stores like 7-Eleven and small neighborhood supermarkets within easy reach. If you’re arriving at or departing from Haneda Airport, this hotel is a great choice, as it’s only a short train ride away.

AustraliaMore of a local area so quieter. No tourists when I went for a morning walk.
Clean, extras like toothbrush and toothpaste provided. Very close to kamata train station. Perfect stay after a long flight and Kate arrival.

Located between two train stations. Convenience stores and supermarkets within 2 minutes walk. So many nice restaurants to choose from.

United StatesThere was no convenience store in the hotel.
More spacious than most Tokyo hotels. Perfect for families. Parking was great. Area was not as busy as most of the other areas around Tokyo. Staff was courteous. Laundry machines were front loading which were great.

CanadaFrontdesk staff didn't speak English and overall they weren't very helpful. We requested help to call to the airport because one of our luggage was left there and they didn't help us. Room was very small with limited space to put your luggage and stuff around. I read this is standard in Tokyo but they should charge less given the size of the room.
The hotel is located minutes away from the subway station. From the station you can go to Tokyo in 45 minutes. The hotel had restaurants and convenience stores nearby. Breakfast was limited but the options available were tasty and the portions were generous.

PhilippinesI found the room a bit small but I guess it's the norm in Tokyo or in Japan for that matter. Nonetheless, I was not inconvenienced at all.
I like the location a lot. It is very near the Keikyu Kamata train station and close to shops where one can eat and have a quick bite. It is also in a quite neighborhood and I felt safe all throughout my stay. The wifi is reliable. The staff is friendly too.

United StatesThere are 3 APA hotels within a half mile of each other. They need to have more diversity in the names. The cabbie dropped me at the wrong location because of this
It was a three minute walk to the train station. That line goes to Haneda airport. The staff was awesome

ItalyMy fault but I had not realised that breakfast (which we had booked) did not start until 7am with no early options which did not give us time before leaving for the airport. Also having seen the breakfast menu I would say that it is quite limited so worth checking before committing to paying for it.
We stayed in this hotel the night before our flight home from Haneda Airport. It is perfectly located for the local train which goes straight to the airport in ten minutes. The rooms were small but absolutely perfect for what we needed with great showers and very clean. There is a restaurant downstairs or plenty of choice nearby. Great staff who were extremely helpful.

SingaporeThe room is super tight. And you can hear the vacuum cleaning from outside. Surroundings have no breakfast choice.
The location was very convenient. From Haneda airport to Keikyu Kamata was a few stops only, so it was very helpful when we returned because we don't have to leave too early to reach airport. And it's quite near the train station so it also helped when carrying heavy luggage. The hotel has good facilities - wifi, hair dryer, ice corner, laundry corner, vending machine, smoking room etc. They also have rental for hair straightener, nail clip, universal plugs etc. The staff were friendly and nice. Surroundings have the izakaya mainly, Life Supermarket, small pharmacy and AEON small super market and about 10 - 15min walk to JR Kamata line. There are more restaurants here.

IndonesiaThe room size, or rather the room-to-price ratio, is what you'd typically expect in Japan—on the smaller side. One thing to note is their policy on early check-in, which is quite strict. They charge by the hour for any early arrival, and I feel the hotel could be a bit more flexible on that front.
The location is within walking distance to Keikyu Kamata Station and not far from Kamata Station. If you're flying in and out of Haneda, and planning to explore Tokyo while avoiding the heavy tourist crowds at the start and end of your day, this hotel in Kamata (Ota City) is a great choice. Convenience stores and mini markets are nearby, and there’s also a food arcade and a supermarket within walking distance.

ColombiaNothing in particular
The location was a bit outside the centre of Tokyo but close to 2 train stations meaning a relatively quick journey downtown. We liked the area both for being in a somewhat quieter part of the city (nice for morning walks) but also close to many restaurants, fast food joints, and convenience stores. The hotel itself is quite modern and the rooms (we had 2 twin rooms) were smallish but comfortable.

NorwayPerfect location for the last hotel before flying from Haneda airport. 20 mins to the airport, nice neighborhood. Regularly good APA with rooms that are bigger than usual. The only thing we didn't like was breakfast. Can't really recommend eating in, much better to eat somewhere out.
