Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly without limiting expression of strong opinions. They are also applicable regardless of the sentiment of the comment.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include 'hate speech', discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, and the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options may be available (by type of traveller, by score, etc.).

Czech RepublicNothing, everything was really great
JPN hotel rooms are smaller opossite to Europeans but room here was the biggest we got in JPN, very comfortable. Location is perfect for tourists, close to station with so many possibilities to go.Hotel communicated great regarding our late check in ( we arrived after midnight because of late flight). Receptionist spoke good English and was very helpful. We got two bottles of water for free, there was a large fridge in the room and four pillows in bed for two.

United StatesMore movie choices in English would be nice, or having an option for English subtitles. I'm still learning Japanese so I can't keep up with movie dialogue yet.
The location is great, right next to JR line and lots of food, and just a short walk to Akihabara if you want to stroll. The room size is pretty standard for the price range, and it's great to have a bath tub to soak in after lots of walking.

FranceA big issue with cleaning being not really done in proper way before arrival and despite a message no action to correct. You really feel like “close your mouth” from this hotel when hygiena is the subject. Long hairs were in the room (I have no hair on my head!!), dust in the main mirror under the TV (I added the date of arrival and still present when leaving after 4 nights), curious subject on the wall near the wc …It is like a machine that can not be disturbed even for such important; unfortunately it is the first time facing such uncomfortable status with one hotel , I have then cancelled my booked with APA at Roppongi! Sad to see that a client is not listened!
Location is practical and room size is acceptable, APA standard , bed confortable

ThailandAPA Hotel has cleaning every 3 days. I've never seen it. Every time I go to Japan, the hotel I booked cleans my room every day. When I see this, I was shocked. I paid you the service fee but cleaned it for me every 3 days. APA Hotel gave the reason that it was a matter of the customer's privacy. But I'm not very good about this. The hotel should inform from the beginning on the web size to make the customer's decision to book accommodation. Some days, the yukata is not complete, so you have to come down to the pick it up at the reception desk.
There are many facilities. Near the train. There are many restaurants near the hotel and they are also delicious.

SingaporeCleaning staff was poorly trained. On the mandatory housekeeping day, they: 1) left a plastic bag full of dirty towels and yukata in the room 2) left replacement amenities (eg paper cups, yukata, green tea) in another plastic bag instead of topping them up at the respective locations 3) left the window open 4) threw away my spouse’s personal toothbrush. It was in a new unopened cup. They later found it in the trash. 5) placed a used paper cup with green tea sediments underneath the new unopened ones in the bathroom 6) replaced glass of orthodontic retainer cleansing solution with plain water. Bottom arch of my retainer went MISSING from the glass. The bottom arch could not be found despite searching through the trash. Hotel cleaning staff then insisted they did not touch the toothbrush and the glass with my retainers, and do not know where the bottom arch went. As such, hotel did not compensate me for the loss. This happened on the last night of my trip, and totally marred my experience in Japan.
Love the location. Walking distance to both JR and Tokyo subway lines. Lots of local eateries around in the area.

CanadaWhen we were transferred to room 1304, room was a bit dusty, like the floor, desk and mirror. I also noticed air filter was dirty and needs some cleaning. I know they just recently changed their beds, but i hope they cleaned it more thoroughly after that.
