First of all, I would like to highlight the work of the front desk staff. During my trip, I was worried that my Japanese was not good enough yet and I had just started studying the Sonkeigo topic. But the staff member who greeted me and checked me in not only used Japanese that was so understandable to me, but also complimented my still poor knowledge of Japanese, which incredibly lifted my spirits. Also, all the other hotel staff were very welcoming and always ready to help. Incredibly delicious and varied breakfast. Friendly kitchen staff. The room was large, clean, cozy, very quiet. Thank you for fulfilling my special request. I really liked the origami figures that greeted me in the room. It's very sweet and welcoming. And it helped to immerse myself even more in the culture and atmosphere of Japan. The location of the hotel is very convenient. 20 minutes from the train station, 10 minutes from the subway station, several bus stops near the hotel. The design of the hotel is very beautiful and cozy. The Japanese hotel rules of staying are different from those in Europe, so I'm afraid I've added work for the hotel team. I'm very sorry. I'll be better prepared next time. Since childhood, I dreamed of visiting Japan, especially Kyoto, so this trip was special for me. The time spent in Kyoto will forever stay in my heart, also thanks to the work of the hotel team. There are still a lot of places that I haven't had time to visit, so I plan to visit Kyoto again and will definitely stay at this hotel. Thank you very much for your hospitality!

VietnamBut I’ve stayed 5 nights and they put me in a room with a window facing a wall so there’s no sun. I’m not sure it’s bcs of that or I was unlucky to stay there right after someone with very stinky feet left smell behind. The room smell like that so I couldn’t sleep. The hotel staff said hotel was full so the only thing they could do for me was to help me open the window. It helped with the smell but then it’s very noisy with traffic noise. It’s right next to many bus stops so getting around was very easy. But for the experience above I wouldn’t stay here again. Usually the hotel would change the room for me or offered or deep cleaning on the carpet. But the staffs here didn’t do their best for guests. They even laughed when they understood I’ve been suffered with that bad smell.
The room and beddings, bathroom were very clean and new.

They even said to me "you will have to deal with it" when I said that my room was extremely hot and the thermostat couldn't be adjusted. Guests cannot adjust the temperature inside of the rooms that we are paying for!!! I couldn't breathe out of the heat, I couldn't sleep because of the heat. And even housekeeping turned the heat back on when I opened the window 2 inches open to breathe. They didn't provide napkins for breakfast. One day they lend me a plate, which I returned to the restaurant after using, next day the front office person told me that they didn't lend plates. I still can't believe that front desk person told me that I had to deal with the heat on my room when I asked them for help. The temperature is controlled by the hotel and cannot be modified, you will have to deal with it. I'm paying over $800.00 for a room that feels like a sauna and there's nothing to be done or fixed. I will never book any APA hotel again and probably won't use booking either. I wasn't able to modify my reservation. I was so desperate that I just wanted to leave and switch hotels but since I paid over 800.00 for 4 nights I couldn't throw that amount of money to the garbage.

I lost my wallet one night. The staff was super friendly and went above and beyond to help me find it, specially one lady of the staff, offered to help me call the taxi company, she help me get to the koban station so I can talk to the police, she was great. awesome place, great location. super quiet. it even has a smoking area inside the hotel. Bus stations super close, shinkansen station super close, will be back.

CanadaVery disappointing experience in this hotel. By far the smallest that we have in 7 cities of Japan. Not to mention most staff don’t understand- not to mention to speak English. And they don’t know their facilities. AC in room is not adjustable and the reception-except for one English speaking guy— all don’t know how to adjust it from their end! Cleaning was very unprofessional, we found dirty socks from previous guests under the bed. The duvet is unbelievably thick and hot, and they only have 1 blanket of the whole hotel. Breakfast was the most basic one. Other than location which is convenient for bus transportation, I would rank it one for all others.

FranceLocation is very badly deserved by public transportation. 45min fast walking to go to city center, no direct bus, no metro. Breakfast quality is poor, there’s some sort of salty food but no fresh fruit. There’s mini breads, and cereals but really nothing much. Coffee machine needs to be improved. You have the impression that nothing is fresh.

This was the biggest hotel room we had in Japan. It was very well equipped with super comfortable large bed and cool dressing gowns:) The location is good, however it's half hour walk to the center and 20 min walk from the main train station. It was nice and quiet though. The staff was very nice, stored our luggage, as we arrived early. The highlight was breakfast with huge variety of delicious dishes and drinks, definitely the best breakfast we had in Japan. I recommend this hotel for comfort and convenience. Would definitely stay again.

AustraliaThere wasn’t anything I didn’t like. I just found the walk from Gojo station a bit far with luggages and you had to go up and down a bridge to cross one of the main intersections. I would recommend those travelling with big luggages to catch a bus from Gojo station instead of walking. On a nice day, it’s a pretty easy stroll though! Also, there was no sauna at this APA property.
Very close to bus stops which made it very easy to get to the closest train station and to get the buses to wherever I needed to go! The property was very clean and staff were very helpful! The buffet breakfast was fantastic too. It had a range of Japanese and Western breakfast options.
