How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.

Breakfast! the place for breakfast is too small and there are a few options, by the way, there are the control for the guest just to catch two bread and roll rice

The staff were not friendly (not the dinosaurs (although that could’ve been more exciting it was very quickly gimmicky)). Overall bad service, and dusty rooms.

1. We were informed upon arrival that our reserved rooms were for single occupancy only, even though we booked twin bed rooms. This came as a surprise, as we were not aware of this detail in the Booking.com listing. Ultimately, we had to pay an additional 16,000 Yen for both rooms, which was disappointing. 2. Guests are not allowed to refill water from the breakfast area, and the hotel does not provide complimentary bottled water daily. 3. One of the female staff members assisting with the breakfast setup appeared to be in a poor mood and came across as unfriendly, which left a negative impression on guests.
The daily breakfast provided is appreciated, but it would be beneficial to occasionally change some items to keep it interesting for guests.

Breakfast selection is minimal (onigiri, bread, cereal) and depending on the time there are not enough seats fore breakfast in reception/waiting area
Location is close to the train station. 10 min walk to dotonbori.

Room was a lot smaller than I expected for three people. We had to share one giant bed between the three of us.
The staff was really nice and always helpful! breakfast food was delicious!

I have no negative feedback - this place was brilliant.
The dinosaur animatronics was such a cool feature, and made checking in entertaining. The breakfast and food options were lovely - such as rice balls and miso soup in the morning, biscuits and tea in the afternoon. The room was surprisingly spacious, as was the bathtub. Really loved our room! Also a good, short walking distance to great food (and vegan restaurants) and markets!

No view from window and felt a bit cramped. Breakfast was very limited.
Small rooms, fairly clean. A bit fun with the Dino robots for the kids. Good location close to shopping and Dotombori. We didn’t like the breakfast but there was a lovely cafe/ diner right ext door that serves sandwiches and pancakes for breakfast (and great coffee),

There was no further robotic experiences other than the check in which was disappointing as this is main reason we selected this hotel. The breakfast was poor limited choices and told only allowed a certain number of each item which seemed a little odd considering we paid for breakfast. It would not be worth booking if you were going to see the robotics.
We liked the dinasours and check in experience was fast. Location was good close to town and trains.

There was mold in the bathroom ventilation and the room was not really cleaned every day. Also the paid breakfast was really poor of choices, no real table room and this is the first time that I came across a breakfast buffet with quota on consumption. Overall we really would switch hotel given the chance.
The location was nice and the bed of a good size and comfortable.

There was large amounts of visible dust on the air vents and a stain on the bottom of the doona that had me questioning the cleaning.
Location is great, staff are very helpful and dinosaurs were cute.

The check in, check out process was smooth - accompanied by dancing, talking dinos! The place provided a small but substantial breakfast every morning (onigiri, miso soup, selection of pastries, cereal and juices, and coffee and tea). Room was comfortable and a good size for the area. We went to japan for our very belated honeymoon, and the staff went above and beyond to welcome us with a printed sweet message and cute towel art (in the shape of dinos!). Location was very central and perfect for us!
