Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

CanadaThe only complaint I have about the entire stay was the dryers aren't great, and there isn't a lot of washers/dryers.
I liked the restaurant downstairs, lovely food and for a good price. The room I stayed in was small but the features were good.

AustriaReception with robots with low AI. They can not really answer your questions. We had an issued with our passports and the robots were not able to help. We called for assistance, and they barely speaks English. However, we managed with Apple Translation.
Location was optimal to discover the surroundings. A lot of options to eat walking distance. Metro station just at the doorstep.

SpainThe cleaning could be better. The check in is a slow process and the machine doesn’t recognize names properly.
The location is nice and well connected.

Second time staying at a Henn na hotel and they dont disappoint. Location is superb, very near Asakusabashi station which has direct access from Haneda airport. Amenities are complete and breakfast is decent.

AustraliaNothing but if I had to pick, there’s only two washer and dryers. Doesn’t help if another guest leaves their clothes in the dryer when time is up and doesn’t come back to take them out. Maybe put a basket in the laundry room to remove uncollected clothes so someone else could use the dryer. And if you’re a guest at the hotel and can see people waiting, don’t be inconsiderate and stand there folding your clothes one by one from the dryer!
The location was close to several combinis and two train lines. Was convenient to get to many places. Very quiet hotel, clean and comfortable.

ItalyLocation was perfect, close to the metro and all around very nice places where to eat. The only downside is that not having proper staff member made communication difficult, because often they do not speak English and unfortunately I do not speak Japanese.

I liked the room set up, and it was close to connivence stores and train station

AustraliaThey do not arrange luggage transfer between hotels, however they did accept luggage sent to the hotel sent from another hotel. There is self check in but staff can be contacted for assistance and were helpful. There is a Yamato office 8 minutes walk from the hotel which were incredibly helpful with sending our luggage. The were queues for the two small lifts at peak times, plan extra time to checkout. The surrounding area is slightly quieter than more central Tokyo, however it did take roughly 30 minutes to reach central Tokyo requiring train line changes and trains were extremely packed at peak hour.
The hotel is very well located, minutes walk from both the JR and metro Asakusabashi stations. It is surrounded by a variety of restaurants and shops. There is a direct train from Haneda airport but it was rather difficult locating an accessible station exit with suitcases. Having stayed at the Henn na Hotel Nishi-kasai on a previous trip, the rooms were a bit smaller (twin room) but still adequately sized with a kettle, mini fridge and decent sized western shower bathroom. We also later stayed in the Hollywood twin rooms which were slightly larger with a table and LG styler. The beds were comfortable however the pillows were very unsupportive. Amenities and sleepwear were provided. There was a laundry room and a microwave in the lobby and a fantastic indian restaurant on the bottom floor which had a great variety affordable buffet breakfast. The few staff we did interact (self check-in, unmanned desk) with and the restaurant staff were all friendly and helpful.

United KingdomThe hotel was very good for the price we paid, the rooms were small but this is expected in tokyo. The location was fine, a 3 minute walk from Asakusabashi station and 1 stop from Akihabara. The robots were a little scary, but human staff were available at all times by picking up the phone on reception. The only downside is that the beds were very hard (but this did help my back issues so I can't complain)

Maltathe pillow was very uncomfortable and we could have used an extra pillow each.
we stayed here for our last night in Japan. the robots are ok but its mostly a self check-in method. I had luggage transferred from another hotel and the staff were helpful. they also answered all my queries very swiftly. the room was very small, clean, the steamer was quite a novelty albeit not used by me. the location is literally minutes away from the JR station. the luggage lockers system is very convenient and was a great help. good amenities provided.

AustraliaRobot check in is okay if you speak Japanese but incredibly frustrating if you don’t. The credit card payment screen had no English translation option so we could see what we were paying for or indeed what button to press to finalise the transaction and the beds were very hard and uncomfortable. The safe did not work in the room. Nor did the tv / air conditioner have any instructions in English.
Great location. Close to rail transport and adequate restaurants etc.

United KingdomIf you’re looking at trying to stay in some of the more popular busy areas of Tokyo it’s a little far out but the travel didn’t bother us and we liked staying in a quieter area. I think it took us about half hour or so to get to Shibuya.
The robots at check in were pretty cool and if you need assistance from a real person it’s easily sorted. Loads of items available like razors and things for free if you need them. It’s very close to a metro station and easy to get about. The rooms are small but that’s pretty average for Japan. It was cheaper than average for Tokyo but that’s because it isn’t super central.

AustraliaMy only dislike was how hard the bed was and lack of pillows.
Great Location so east to get to train station. Plenty of Lawsons, 711 and supermarkets close by. Lots of restaurant and takeaway shops too. Love the extra deep bathtub and powerful shower. Having Sleeping gowns, toothbrushes, razors, lotions etc was such a bonus. You don't really need to pack much. I also loved the Steam/Ironer appliance in the room this was a life saver for us travelling.
