Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.

By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

NetherlandsBecause they clean the entire property between 10 and 14 you have to hand in your keys and don’t have access to your locker or bed.
Everything was super clean, the showers and sauna were amazing! You would expect it to be noisy, sleeping with over 40 people on one floor. But is was in fact quite and calm, really enjoyed my nights here.

United Kingdomspa / sauna area was dirty, shower are was dirty , people coming in and out the whole night really loudly so couldn't sleep and main light was never switched off , the place looks outdated, and you need to climb two floors of stairs before getting into the hotel , with heavy suitcases this was difficult , also there is only one lift and its quite slow. entire place could do with a refresh
convenient to stay for a night before the flight back next day

JapanWeird system working on the place. We have to check out every day at 10am, so if you would like to get rest over that time, you can't as they kick you out. This is for cleaning purposes. Even though, we can stay in the common area. The are showers only on the third floor. I'm not recommend anyone to have shower in rush, because the lift is small and most of the time is full. There is a big block in every capsule, which is a little bit uncomfortable as there is no much space inside already.
I'd say it's a good stay just for no more than 3 nights. If you have a big luggage you gonna have to carry it a fews stairs as there is no lift from the first floor, however there is lift from the second floor. The staff was friendly. The sauna was the best thing of the place. They provide you towels every day.

CanadaThe Matress and pillow are not so comfy, and the little fan in the capsule is not doing the trick. Considering the price and if you are traveling on a bugdet, the place is great.

JapanIt was generally very cramped. If someone had a locker open in the locker area it became a shuffling and waiting game to get anywhere. There is a part built into the capsule that clearly once held a TV but now it's just this empty thing that makes the capsule very cramped. The privacy curtain doesn't really block much light so I would recommend an eye mask of that bothers you. The elevator was also clearly never intended for so many people. It's small and for the women it isn't a problem because we get on first, but the men often have to wait for the next or next next elevator (often!) and there isn't a stairs option. The lounge area is a bit small for how many people the hotel holds and something as simple as a kettle and a microwave would be really welcome. I will say that I have stayed in several hostels and capsule hotels so it wasn't my first experience. In the end though, for the price I would stay here again for the location and the sauna.
The Sauna and various showers were great! The location was also unbeatable. Literally around the block from Ebisu JR and Metro stations. Several small restaurants and convenience store, bakery, small supermarket within a minute or twos walk away. Having the capsules cleaned and daily new fresh towels were nice because there is no place to hang a towel (not even a little book somewhere).

Japan1)Stuff doesn't speak English. 2)The elevator was always busy I wanted to use the stairs to go down but the doors were closed. What is very bad in case of danger of an earthquake or fire. 3)The shower gel, shampoo and other shower accessories were terrible. It is better take your own. After I applied the soap, my skin was covered in a red, unknown rash after 1 minute!!! 4) Fan worked badly in capsules
Good location, comfortable design of capsules

JapanHowever, the vibe of the place was not inviting. The aircon/fan in the capsules did not work well and it was extremely hot. The garments provided were very large. The pillows were rock solid and not comfortable at all, Same with the bedding. The workers started cleaning the other capsules at 8am? When checkout isn’t until 10am. This noise woke me up as it was noisy in the room. I was very surprised they started when people still had their capsules closed up - this I felt disrupted the stay and made me feel rushed to leave.
Access to station was great and check in and out was very easy. The lobby area was really nice also. The seperate storage space from the capsule area with toilets separated by the extra door was a great idea as it help reduce noise. The capsules were spacious.

United StatesIt was my first time staying at a "Capsule Hotel." I sort of had the impression that each capsule would be contained a bit more, but there is only a small sheet to separate you from the outside. This means that noise and light come in. And there is plenty of both. The hotel will not turn the lights off or down at all, they are blasting at full power 24/7 because of Fire code. Even if you have your screen down all of the way, you will have light entering your space, which is bad for circadium rhythm. There are 40 people on each floor, so there is always someone waking up or having an alarm go off, or coming in from a late night, or talking with their friend. In other words, even with earplugs in, you will be bothered by noise. If you are a light sleeper do not come here. It gets extremely hot in the capsule, so you must sleep without the blanket. They have a fan inside each one, but it is so broken and old that it is useless. I had a hand fan that i put near the opening, to try to push cold air, but it's far from the outlet, and it dies in the middle of the night. You can leave your screen door open to allow the A/C in and be cooler, but then you have no protection from the light. I sleep with a mask, but it always comes off, especially since I toss and turn more in an uncomfortable bed like this. Also the staff come in and clean from 10am to 2pm. Meaning that if you come in jetlagged, and sleep in until 11, you can't take a shower until 2pm. THey close off the 3rd floor, which is where the showers and sauna are. There are toilets on your floor, but from 10am to 2pm there will be hotel staff doing thier business there. So if you're planning on being jetlagged, you will be extremely inconveinenced when you wake up.
1 station away from Shibuya. Great location. Cannot beat the price for the proximity that you get to Shibuya. Also the sauna was incredible. The only thing keeping me from giving this place a really low score is the sauna. Amazing.

IrelandThe bedroom light is left on all night, there was no sign of a light switch. Maybe signs should be put up to make customers aware that silence is needed after a certain time as we had multiple guests making noise at all hours. The pillows were very uncomfortable. Also, if you are staying there more than one night you have to check in and out everyday.
The hostel as a whole is very clean. The sauna area itself is very clean and enjoyable.

JapanI was traveling with my brother who is 6ft/181cm tall and he said that the accommodations were a bit small for him particularly the bed. My capsule was also a little run down but clean. It was a good stay, it’s on me for forgetting he is very tall (I am very short).
I loved the sauna and the location. It was also convenient that the breakfast was a Starbucks gift card, we used it to eat at the location in Shibuya which was super close by!
