How guest reviews work
Each review score is between 1-10. To get the overall score that you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of review scores we’ve received. We use a weighted review system which means that the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. In addition, guests can give separate ‘subscores’ in crucial areas, such as location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value for money and free Wi-Fi. Note that guests submit their subscores and their overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an Accommodation that you booked through our Platform if you stayed there or if you arrived at the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, please contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialise in detecting fake reviews submitted to our Platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone else who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team, so our Fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we would publish every review we receive, whether positive or negative. However, we won’t display any review that includes or refers to (among other things):
- Politically sensitive comments
- Promotional content
- Illegal activities
- Personal or sensitive information (e.g. emails, phone numbers or credit card info)
- Swear words, sexual references, hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, or references to violence
- Spam and fake content
- Animal cruelty
- Impersonation (e.g. if the writer is claiming to be someone else)
- Any violation of our review guidelines.
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out, and we may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old – or if the Accommodation has a change of ownership.
An Accommodation may choose to reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (what language a review is in, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). If you like, you can sort and/or filter them (by time of year, review score, etc.).
We sometimes show external review scores from other well-known travel websites. We make it clear when we’ve done this.
Guidelines and standards for Reviews

Was pretty cramped for a group of 6 and didn't get towels replaced but had a washing machine to wash the towels.
Very close to the train station, only 5min walk. 7/11 and other restaurants are close by. Room had a balcony and fridge.

Reception was ok - could be friendlier

The lobby has very foul odor, and the room is kinda not so clean with some damaged wall paper. Bathroom is not so convenient, very small for a group of people.

It has everything you need, except for extra pillows. (The staff did manage to find us one extra bed pillow, only.) There's even a humidifier, which was very useful. However, the room is bare looking and very plain, and the carpets smell a bit musty everywhere. There are stains here and there, but it's clean. No yukata, but there are slippers, a tea kettle, drinking glasses, and a washing machine. Oh, and you better be out 9:59 AM because staff will knock on the door at 10:00 AM sharp, if you're not out.

The lock of the door in my room needed inserting several times to open the door.
The price of room fee is cheap if you want to save money. The location is Okay near Minowa Station just within a short walk distance. Besides, you can get access to supermarket or other convenience stores nearby. The heating system is the most helpful of all during the winter season of Tokyo. The hot water was also OK while showering. WiFi and most of toiletries are also provided except toothbrush and toothpaste.

Had only one toilet which took some time getting ready but understandable and still okay as multiple people could get ready at the same time as the shower, sink and toilet are separated.
Near convenience store and Minowa Station. Was very clean and accommodated 5 people well. Had soaps, microwave, hairdryer, washing machine and dryer that is available in the day at the first floor.

The first night we stayed I noticed a smell coming from the air conditioner, a smell like a bit of damp smell. Maybe the filter needs a bit of cleaning/ replace. During our last night new guests lived above our floor kept stumping and walking heavily from upper level which was pretty bothering. Overall it was a nice stay will re-consider to visit next time.
We spent 3 nights at the hotel. Location is great- close to bus station and Hibiya Line if you like to go to Ginza, 六本木, 池袋 area this is a great location. The room is spacious which is unbeatable for its price. We have two large luggages and both our luggages can open flat. The room has its own washing machine which is great.

The most difficult to book. After booking HD to do their own website to do an extra confirmation required passport pictures, lots of information and on my phone reset 3x making a simple confirmation far more tedious than any other hotel we stayed in
Washer and dryer no cost to use (including detergent). Fridge, microwave (shared), hot water heater for drinks, just really good amenities

It is a bit of a walk and can be a challenge if travelling with multiple full size luggages and/or with kids.
