Read more– opens a dialog boxEach review score is between 1 and 10. To get the overall score you see, we add up all the review scores we’ve received and divide that total by the number of them. We use a weighted review system, which means the more recent the review, the bigger the impact on the total review score calculation. Guests can also give separate “subscores” in crucial areas like location, cleanliness, staff, comfort, facilities, value, and free Wifi. Note that guests submit their subscores and overall scores independently, so there’s no direct link between them.
You can review an accommodation that you booked through our platform if you stayed there, or if you got to the property but didn’t actually stay there. To edit a review you’ve already submitted, contact our Customer Service team.
We have people and automated systems that specialize in detecting fake reviews submitted to our platform. If we find any, we delete them and, if necessary, take action against whoever is responsible.
Anyone who spots something suspicious can always report it to our Customer Service team so that our fraud team can investigate.
Ideally, we'd publish every review we get, positive and negative. However, we won’t display any reviews that include or refer to (among other things):
To make sure reviews are relevant, we may only accept reviews that are submitted within 3 months of checking out. We may stop showing reviews once they’re 36 months old, or if the accommodation has a change of ownership.
An accommodation can reply to a review.
When you see multiple reviews, the most recent ones will be at the top, subject to a few other factors (e.g. language, whether it’s just a rating or contains comments as well, etc.). You can sort and/or filter them by time of year, review score, and more.
Sometimes we show external review scores from other well-known travel websites, but make it clear when we do this.
These guidelines and standards aim to keep the content on Booking.com relevant and family-friendly, without limiting expression or strong opinions. They're also applicable regardless of the comment's tone.
Contributions should be travel related. The most helpful contributions are detailed and help others make better decisions. Please don’t include personal, political, ethical, or religious commentary. Promotional content will be removed and issues concerning Booking.com’s services should be routed to our Customer Service or Accommodation Service teams.
Contributions should be appropriate for a global audience. Please avoid using profanity or attempts to approximate profanity with creative spelling, in any language. Comments and media that include hate speech, discriminatory remarks, threats, sexually explicit remarks, violence, or the promotion of illegal activity are not permitted.
All content should be genuine and unique to the guest. Reviews are most valuable when they are original and unbiased. Your contribution should be yours. Booking.com property partners should not post on behalf of guests or offer incentives in exchange for reviews. Attempts to bring down the rating of a competitor by submitting a negative review will not be tolerated.
Respect the privacy of others. Booking.com will make an effort to obscure email addresses, telephone numbers, website addresses, social media accounts, and other similar details.
The opinions expressed in contributions are those of Booking.com customers and properties, and not of Booking.com. Booking.com does not accept responsibility or liability for any reviews or responses. Booking.com is a distributor (without any obligation to verify) and not a publisher of these comments and responses.
By default, reviews are sorted based on the date of the review and on additional criteria to display the most relevant reviews, including but not limited to: your language, reviews with text, and non-anonymous reviews. Additional sorting options might be available (by type of traveler, by score, etc...).

AustraliaThe rooms didn't have adequate soundproofing and we were regularly woken by loud motorists in the middle of the night. It was so loud that my children were woken and were forced to cover their ears. There was also an unpleasant odor coming from the toilet whenever the deodorizer was turned on and the smell lingered for a while.
Had everything we needed and the staff was excellent and responsive to all requests. Close enough to the station.

AustraliaEven on the 11th floor it can be quite noisy throughout the night. Hearing sirens at least 3 or 4 times a night gets tiring and I'm not a light sleeper.
Friendly staff and a nice clean well presented hotel with good services nearby. Everything is at your finger tips.

SingaporeAmenities were cut down quite a fair bit. What used to be available openly to hotel guests were only available via requests. Makes the hotel less friendly and flexi- feels like the hotel is undergoing cost cutting measures. Basic housekeeping shd still be offered irregardless the number of nights the guests r staying, these are basic expectations as well.
Spacious and child friendly.

Hong KongMy daughter put the iPhone on the table in the room. When we came back, the iPhone is gone. We asked the hotel to investigate for us. They called the housekeeper who confirmed seeing the phone on the table but it’s gone. We requested filing to the police but the feedback is they don’t do police reporting. We had to ran for another flight and asked them to check cctv and contact us. No feedback. I called them today, still they can’t answer whether they checked the cctv. It is that difficult to check cctv and tell me who has entered my room??? This is scary and unacceptable! Waiting for further reply!

SingaporePillow are too soft, when requested for extra pillow there were non for my first 2 days. Cleaning schedule was confusing and expect the guest to remember the odd days when they come in to clean the room. prefer to have a washer dryer in every room rather everytime we need to rush back to do our laundry as afraid there won't be anymore to use if we get back too late.
the location, rooms are spacious and welcoming.

United StatesThe location is not really for families, at least during the night. I didn't feel very safe going out past 8pm, as there are lots of questionable "clubs" right around the hotel. It's also very far from all the main attractions of Tokyo and getting to the closest metro station is a bit of a walk. While the hotel is nice, I was expecting a bit more given the price range.
The room is nice and spacious and it was definitely good to have a portable crib for our baby (not all hotels offer that). The staff was very nice.

AustraliaVery noisy at night due to street traffic. Could only open door 10cm due to not being allowed on balcony. Understood we needed to set up kids beds ourselves but when the sheets were changed, they packed up the beds and we had to set up again.
Conveniently located near train station and food outlets. Easy to access and staff were great.

IsraelThe hotel is not clean, the whole street is full of prostitution services, not suitable for children, the beds did not fit the size of my son, there is smell of mildew, there is a meat restaurant downstairs and the smell rises to the room, we did not sleep all night, I had to leave the next morning without slipping , I booked to another hotel , the hotel manager insisted on not compensating me for anything, asked for your clarification on the matter, we slept one night out of five nights! Zero stars is to much!

SingaporeThe pillows provided were too flat. I had to stack 2 pillows to sleep and even so, it was still flatter than 1 normal pillow. The detergent provided for laundry was not sufficient as well.
Loved the toiletries provided, rentable items, the bathroom, as well as the furnishing of the hotel.

United StatesSomeone was cooking up fish EVERY NIGHT and our room stunk of it. Just keep in mind there are cooking facilities, which are great to have but whew, try to be considerate.
This is a small property so it is easy to check in, and get in/out of. Rental toys & travel items were nice to have. Everything in the room was clean and in good working order. Despite the noise outside, we slept well.

United StatesIt feels like a motel. And the area around the hotel is dirty (rare for Tokyo) and surrounded by strip clubs. I wouldn’t stay there again especially with my kids.
The room was adequate- a bit bare bones, but beds were comfortable, but gives a bit of a motel vibe. The staff is friendly.

AustraliaAfter 3 weeks travelling Japan and some amazing hotels, unfortunately Mimaru was disappointing. Poorly insulated, with open air floors (assume it was a previous apartment block) street noise literally echoed through the rooms. The hotel is directly opposite a number of bars/girls offering etc. The noise throughout the night was unbearable, loud yelling and noisy cars to all hours. There is also a large construction site next door, construction noise started between 6-7am all day noise until approximately 5pm. Earplugs are offered at check in area, these did not block out the street noise/yelling etc. The single beds in the second room were comfortable, the mattresses on the bunk beds were very thin and felt like you were sleeping on the wooden base. On a side note, the TV is actually a roof projector onto the wall. This was not ideal to use in daylight hours.
The family room was large and spacious, with plenty of room to spread out for our group of 3. Location is great, 5 minute walk to the station and the Disneyland bus shuttle. The bus to Disneyland takes approx 1 hour, and is a direct line to the park. The team who work here are very helpful, speak fluent English and always willing to offer assistance. Customer service is 100%, the hotel building, location with loud bars on the doorstep was the let down.
